  • I've never actually dieted except for a few fad diets in the 70s (remember brown rice? and PLJ? ) And I'm far too lazy to exercise, although I am quite active.

DD's struggled with hers in the past though and I've often said to her if she just puts out on the worktop her 5-a-day, some oily fish, some yoghurt, a bit of cheese and some protein like chicken or cold meat - all the things you should have on most days - then by the time she's munched through that little lot, she'd feel too full to even think of eating rubbish.

    Afternoon all.

Sory not able to catch up, witnessed an awful accident last night a young lad flipped his car, speeding with another car that disappeared. He was unconscious had to call ambulance and wait for police and fire, he was in a mess when they moved him, no seat belt on either. Down country lanes that a notorious for accidents by us, only 2 weeks ago someone done the same, no signs up to say a sharp bend, as so many accidents the keep taking the signs out.

    Hope all are ok xx

    1/ "Once bitten, twice shy."

Don't believe it is will power you need, mindfulness - yes. I've had that will power that you refer to, it was so powerful I ended up anorexic for several years. I've had that will power before I can have it again right? 95% of the time No. You said so yourself, you've tried and failed at other attempts. Even I've failed numerous times, the body is powerful, it doesn't ever want to enter that state again.

2/ Really ask yourself was that sustainable? Again, I've been there, it ain't pretty :( Have a read of this:

3/ I really wouldn't recommend going back to unsustainable habits.

Re read the above, then read this:

Kiki is brilliant, keeps it real, the industry needs more people like her :T:T rather than mags pushing fad diet after fad diet :(

Gosh, informative read- now to put it into practise :T

Sarah that's dreadful, are you ok, I mean shock wise. Some of these young drivers think it won't happen to them :(. This race culture especially in the country worries me greatly as you just don't know what's coming around that tight little corner
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Left over tea and left over toiletries :T. On that note have made a start on my toiletries, samples and testers. I've got a small table top drawer set, plastic thing. Anyway, I've been through 2 of the drawers and sorted them out. Put the face creams into a ice cream tub for this month and that's all I'm going to use.

Threw out 7 bits, three of these were Body Shop samples in small pots, they had gone off. Two eye creams dated 2011 and 2013 the other two have no label.

Off to a good start I think :D

Well done AJ....you're putting me to shame....I still need to sort through the eclipse that is "beauty products"...but I sort of have an order to it....some things I have plenty of others I am on the last.

I confess to going to Mr Shoes today and picking up a handful of mags but I did resist on the shampoo, there were no decent brand reductions and the own brand 75p ones only had coconut in stock and it was too potent smelling for me.....I left empty handed, although thats not to say I may not return at a later stage to a larger different Mr Shoes to check them out!

I still remember a smash that forced them to put traffic lights on a crossroad, an old bloke put his foot on the accelerator instead of the brake, shot across the road and a couple of young girls went into the side of the car. I was standing in a shop window at the time and if it hadn't been for a lamppost stopping the car I am convinced I would not be here now. As it is the sight of the inside of that car will stay with me forever.

At the time smashes were so common at that crossroad that we actually had a first aid kid specifically for it in the shop I was working in, unfortunately it took the above fatal accident to force them to put lights in.

Be prepared though, a couple of days after this I suddenly came out in a cold sweat and started shaking, delayed shock is horrible. I hope you are OK.

Oh that's amazing Tweets. I'd just assumed you attended a class as you have done so well:T
