If anyone has only just finished the annual struggle with their tax return then it might be worth listening to this as next year it will be a quarterly event

    - its a 7 min segment on Money Box live

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08c0rfv

Imagine a world where you no longer have to submit an annual tax return...

Instead you'll have to do it digitally every three months. And from April 2018 it will be mandatory if you are self employed, VAT registered or a property landlord.

It's all part of the government's Making Tax Digital initiative designed to transform our tax system. So if you are one of the groups affected, how prepared are you? You can put your questions and comments to a panel of experts joining Adam Shaw on Wednesday 1st February from 3pm.

    Call 03700 100 444 from 1pm to 3.30pm on Wednesday 1st or e-mail moneybox@bbc.co.uk now.

Well done you what an incredible achievement you must be so proud of yourself :)
    but.....
please don't do what I have done :(
about 10 years ago I lost 7 stone, by myself no gym, no slimming class, just determination, slowly it went back on, but I lost 2 stone ready for my daughters wedding 6 years ago and was pleased, but since then I have put all the 7 stone back on.
I have had spells of trying but never get anywhere, as you get older it is harder and the will power isn't there as it should be, :(
Its a dull wet horrible day today but today I must try to get rid of those pounds..i have a nieces wedding in July, and grandsons christening may/june so I should have the incentive. I am a positive person and am one for telling others to be positive but its hard, I must take my own advice as I know I will feel better if I do
    sorry for rambling

Thanks Hillbern. I am determined not to go backwards. I have always struggled with my weight yoyo dieting on my own. In Jan 2015 I joined SW, it was the best decision I ever made. I lost 5 stone by the August, went on holiday ate and drank what I wanted and paid the price, however I went straight back to the group faced the scales and continued my journey. The lovely lady that ran the group then left to have a baby, and unfortunately the new consultant did not have the same motivation. My friend and I thought we'd go it alone, but it never happened and I out back on 2.5 stone in 6 months:eek:
We found a new SW group with an amazing consultant and I haven't looked back since October (apart from my 2 week over indulgence at Xmas, but all that weight has now gone).
I appreciate that £4.95 per week is a lot of money to spend on getting weighed, however it's the support of others in the group that make the difference and I need the discipline of standing on the scales in front of someone else.

It's thanks to this wonderful thread and amazing people on it that I can afford to go to SW and have been able to join the gym to get my fitness levels up so that I can enjoy being active with my DH and DD's.

You only need to try and lose 2lbs a week and that will make a huge difference to you in a few months. You have your nieces wedding to look forward to, so you could treat yourself to a lovely new outfit. Just set yourself small goals, rather than thinking you need to lose 7 stone, as that will seem such a long way off. And you always need to tell yourself how far you have come, rather than how far you have got to go.

Why don't you speak to your Dr. You can get a referral for 12 weeks free at SW (which I didn't know about when I started my weight loss). I am sure TWEETS will agree with me that it is the best 'diet' out there, as you don't actually feel like you're on a diet as you can pretty much eat anything.

Ramble on as much as you want to, that's what this thread is all about, and look at the waffle I have just written:rotfl:

No not waffle inspiration- that bought a lump to my throat, I know I care about others, but there are people who have the time and trouble to 'waffle' to me when I am needing it.
    Thank you x

    Good morning all....

Well january has flown by and Bubbs is checking out and moving back home...hopefully it's a smooth transition and you'll enjoy home comforts again.

tweets...take it steady at work today

Today I need distraction...on a little bit of a downer and just can't seem to shake it away....hopefully it will improve once I have spoken to DS later.

I thought the berry and yogurt creation looked verry nice last night....I would have given it a go....but it got me thinking that perhaps I need a PD cake pic or two to cheer up the thread.....

    have a good day all....x

Happy to oblige! The cake was for my brother's 50th - 3 layers of Victoria sponge sandwiched with chocolate fudge. The hat, well I was bored at work in Manchester so I crocheted a troll hat as you do :rotfl: In two weeks time my neighbour has asked me to make a horse cake as the local bakery wanted to charge her £145  utterly ridiculous! Morning

I wonder if I may join in please, I have been a long long term lurker (back in the big a$da glitch days), but have found a bargain (just a little one though) that I wanted to share, hopefully its useful to someone.

I spotted in Sainsbugs (Edinburgh) that they had the 12 pack omega3 birds eye fish fingers for 53p

1/will power which I need to find again

Basically I had a rosemary conolly book one of her first with a 28 day plan, a low fat diet, but it also had exercises literally just a few a day by the end of the month you should have lost inches if not pounds...
I never did get passed about day 14, and I just ate very healthy, but I also done the exercises from the video that accompanied the book.
The video I think was my life line, 2/ it was only about 20mins a day, but after a year 1 was doing at least 3 hours in different sessions a day, walking wherever and cycling .....
3/ Its a habit I need to adopt again..
I think I started in September and about 16/17 months later in the Feb we had some shocking news and everything went to pot then...

    1/ "Once bitten, twice shy."

Don't believe it is will power you need, mindfulness - yes. I've had that will power that you refer to, it was so powerful I ended up anorexic for several years. I've had that will power before I can have it again right? 95% of the time No. You said so yourself, you've tried and failed at other attempts. Even I've failed numerous times, the body is powerful, it doesn't ever want to enter that state again.

2/ Really ask yourself was that sustainable? Again, I've been there, it ain't pretty :( Have a read of this:

    http://eatmore2weighless.com/workout-or-diet-plateau/

3/ I really wouldn't recommend going back to unsustainable habits.

Re read the above, then read this:

Kiki is brilliant, keeps it real, the industry needs more people like her :T:T rather than mags pushing fad diet after fad diet :(
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Oh Tweets, I hope you can take it a little gently today. Try drinking hot water. Odd, I know, but when I am ill I find it peculiarly soothing and you really do need to have a lot of liquids. And try the porridge and bananas, no milk. It will give you some energy. Let us know how you get on please?

    Good Afternoon

I caught the bus to work after Poppy walkies I didn't think I could walk another mile and half to work . So was 30 mins early . Plodded along at work not feeling the best but carried on. Cake and custard was on the menu so I am afraid I enjoyed my dinner I had a bowl bananas and custard . Was glad when we had finished work. Mum will be ringing moaning in a bit so you know how she will leave me feeling.

Looking forward to footie and CBB tonight will watch match on laptop and CBB on tv :D Multi tasking ;)
