Well done you what an incredible achievement you must be so proud of yourself :)
    but.....
please don't do what I have done :(
about 10 years ago I lost 7 stone, by myself no gym, no slimming class, just determination, slowly it went back on, but I lost 2 stone ready for my daughters wedding 6 years ago and was pleased, but since then I have put all the 7 stone back on.
I have had spells of trying but never get anywhere, as you get older it is harder and the will power isn't there as it should be, :(
Its a dull wet horrible day today but today I must try to get rid of those pounds..i have a nieces wedding in July, and grandsons christening may/june so I should have the incentive. I am a positive person and am one for telling others to be positive but its hard, I must take my own advice as I know I will feel better if I do
    sorry for rambling

You are so right there Hillie, as we get older it is harder to lose those extra lbs and extra stones. For all my inactivity over the last 12 months I haven't put on too much, but still could do with losing 5 stones.

Happy February - do you not find January the longest month ever?

Oh I do, but I convinced myself years ago that I suffer from SAD :eek: As much as I love the changing seasons and looking at the same view season to season during winter months I often wish I could hibernate :D.

    Happy February xx

Oh Whitley Bay :j. I want to go home :o. When I do go back my first port of call is the mouth of the Tyne. I sit there awhile with eyes watering of things that were :o. Then it's on to Whitley Bay and the usual photo call me standing beside the life buoy thing :D. And then it starts to rain :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: welcome home Jackie its saying to me :)

    Afternoon peeps.
    So much for frugal Feb.
Popped into shoes, there were lots of Yankee candle large jars reduced to £11 some with an extra 25% off. So £8.25 each. Also the wax melt tart thing in a boxed set was rtc can't remember how much though sorry.
Other candle brands were also rtc so worth a look when you're next there for poo!
So a couple of birthdays sorted.
    Hth.

    yes done that as well.
thanks, but it looks like change :( as others are also saying the same.....unless theres a blip in their system.....I can hope :D

I checked mine but the prizes for cashout cannot be seen even though I have 12000 points, they say it's because they have had too many invalid receipts from me.

Well all of mine have been valid, all in date and only my own receipts used, but SP just don't like them.

So I may just keep it ticking over with the daily bonus to see if anything improves.

But I think they'll be closing it down soon. It's gone from good to mediocre to bad.

    Morning

Thank you for everyone's tips and ideas regarding s/w and kettle, now dh has just gone on his banking and found the purchase on there with coresponding date so have sent this to MR and will see what they say:cool:

So Hal hope you get your boiler sorted :)

Nan and her little dog use to share the cream of the same plate or put her finger in the cream ,dog would lick then finger back in and some for nan :rotfl: bless her :A

Lejc sending some hugs to you X
I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, but if the kettle can still be bought new, buy another, keep receipt and use it to take old one back (maybe after a few weeks) and get a refund as you had to buy one elsewhere ;)

Obviously if the old kettle looks well used they might cotton on.

It might be worth trying the shop you bought it from?

I would post on their FB page too, simply saying that you bought a kettle with a 2 year guarantee and asking why you are being denied your rights under the guarantee or some such.

This might be worth a look https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/somethings-gone-wrong-with-a-purchase/claim-using-a-warranty-or-guarantee/

Just thought, always best to butter them up before a complaint, something like you have always loved their products because they are normally so dependable, but this kettle has gone wrong under the guarantee and why are they refusing to sort it.

After you'very exhausted all other options then it is time to go ton the director of the company. I did this with my daughter's kettle after they had said it must have been submerged after the capacity measure on the side started leaking, new kettle was sent promptly. (Not MR).
