It was a nightmare. The loft was full of 40 years of memories and useful stuff, all had to be skipped. Heart breaking some stuff belonged to my late hubby and soul mate god love him. Makes me sad thinking about it. On a positive note our children sorted all their stuff out also.We have new folks next door lovely young couple, ivy is gone and garden tidy.:) All good.

What amazes me is how noisy they are above you and how quick they can run in the loft when there's acres of insulation squashed down between the rafters.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I think even an established poster asked why all the secrecy surrounding the nectar/virgin trains offer and that it all seemed a bit cloak and dagger. There seems to have been numerous requests on the thread over the past day for PMs regarding a greggs 'glitch' - info available to regulars.

Hi. Sometimes I think people asking for a PM is good, simply because it saves the thread from having the same information repeated over and over again. And other times it's good if the thing is a bit iffy! But with the trains (which wasn't iffy at all, just a straightforward transaction) if people had read back far enough, the details were there for all to see. But I know myself it's not easy to read a long way back if you're on mobile and want the info quickly.

I don't know about Greggs because I don't go there.

the Elite thread is open to all walks of life and this includes persons who represent the HQ of various companies - basically they are on a spying mission.
This is why you might find certain stores are usually mispelt or have nicknames. Most glitches are very short lived, often over within hours. The second that a store knows that an item is mis - scanning then it is removed from sale. So sometimes to prolong a glitch a bit longer so more people can enjoy it, we have to resort to pms
It may seem cliquey but it depends on your point of view.
As with most things in life the more you contribute in whatever shape or form, the more you gain and the newbies that pitch in, hit the ground running soon get the hang of things
But its not only about shopping, the Elite is also about the general madness of life and a lot of support is offered via pms ...

    Good reply MHOC

Squirrels are even noisier! I had a couple of those once and you'd have thought there was a party going on up there.

    Morning folks :D

Got back yesterday from Berwick I can thoroughly recommend the YHA there at £13 night you can't go wrong :money: excellent facilities plus I had the whole room to myself :D:D TBH there is not many YHA I wouldn't recommend.

Almost did a TM when I was there, looked out from the lounge to see an owl on the roof opposite, but looked again and realised it was a decoy :rotfl::rotfl:

Another PB this morning at deadlift 4x5 @102.5kg :D

Got the dentist this morning, the one that was cancelled due to a flurry of snow :rotfl:
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Hi everyone. Think this is a fantastic thread and have wanted to join in for some time but it can be quite daunting taking that first step when it is such a well established group. One thing I have noticed of late is there appears to be a PM culture developing on the thread, such as with the recent nectar/virgin trains offer and now a greggs 'glitch'. I think the thread could be in danger of coming across as cliquey to outsiders if this becomes the norm which would be a shame as it may put newbies off joining in at all. I do mean well by this and hope my comments are received in the spirit they are intended.

Sorry you feel like this LittleOwl......and if you do others may feel like that too:o

I think things are done with the best intention but can snowball. i would hate anyone to feel that they are being left out:o

I don't think there is a pm culture at all. That would be the threads downfall. I think there are 2 instances of something happening recently to which you are referring. But if you look back, it has happened previously on many occasion in the past.

My PM's regarding the Nectar promotion contained no information that couldn't be found on the thread and started as a simple "legs up" to a couple of posters. Nothing more. With hindsight I should have just posted but it seemed easier at the time to copy and paste. I'm sorry if anyone has felt "left out":o

I'm unsure how sensitive Braveheart info is but I know for sure that his intentions are well founded and he is someone with a generous spirit.

I hope you will keep posting LittleOwl ......it happens quite often that people post only a few times and disappear....hope you will stick around:)
