This must have been reposted on Hotukdeals. I think either not every store, or maybe two lots of bar codes out there. I had some Mars price-checked the other day in an Extra and they were £2.00.

It depends what type of wallpaper you are stripping....TBH...a bucket of water and a sponge is just as easy IMO.

we have used steamers on woodchip that was painted...but had to end up hiring an industrial one as the paper was hard to shift.(the first house we renovated had so much woodchip it took weeks)

If you just have normal wallpaper a steamer can be easier but I would try water and a scraper first....once you can get a little softened it usually comes off quite easily and there is something quite satisfying about peeling wallpaper off the wall!

My sons whole house was woodchip and he hired a steamer. 2 days and he had removed the lot but didn't have to worry about plaster as the whole house was redone.

we did much the same VT....but literally every wall was covered in woodchip that had been painted with numerous coats of paint over the years....it was very much a labour of love to get it all off....and yep then every wall was reskimmed.....looks good now though.

then we did a similar thing with the woodwork which lay perfectly preserved under many years of gloss.

I think frugal months must jinx me....when we did October the fridge gave up the ghost and we had to buy a new one....

This time it's the washer dryer....not a huge surprise,I have been waiting for it to depart for a few months....but all the same, any spare cash now goes on the new one that my dear friends from AO will be delivering on Sunday.

Might be worth looking in the 'free from' section in Sainsbos. Saw a load of things reduced to 10p, reasonably within date too.

well this is not looking very hopeful.

OH still has not had his new Marks Cc pin or card despite sending back his signature over 3 weeks ago - for the 2nd time as the first letter went missing so I made sure I handed it over the counter at the PO
We are on the phone now and the credit card number at the top of the letter is not recognised so after about 10 mins of being on hold we were eventually put through to HQ in Chester. They knew about the letter sent out at the end of November but it looks like the 2nd set of signatures have gone missing again Just waiting for a call back now.

I cant even remember now what the offer was - I think you had to make a purchase and then an e voucher appeared via email ...

As a suggestion, change your existing NW to FlexAccount, then open a new FlexD (get referred by a family member, or refer them - you get £100 each ... oh, and go through TCB/Q if they have cashback (so register for refer a friend, make sure you use that email address to register, go through TCB/QW to sign up ;)).

I am about to go back in for a new FlexD for the 5%, just waiting for TCB/Q to have cashback too (the account offers 5% interest for one year on up to £2500, then drops).

There's a decent regular savings linked to these accounts too.
Be careful though, don't close your Flex account if you rely on it for free travel insurance (which covers up to age 75) and is not available for new accounts.
