Have decided to join in the frugal/thrifty January.
Grocery spends so far £14.23 but think there is enough in the freezer and cupboards so that I will only need milk and some fresh veg for the rest of the month. Looking to spend no more than £60.00.

I closed an old savings account today and came home with £32.97 :j
and have decided that that will be my 'glitch buying' fund for the month.

I'm continuing to 'sort' cupboards and realise that I don't need any toiletries or make up for about 4 years apart from deodorant which will probably run out next autumn. I have also made a resolution to use up the lotions and potions that I have.

A little while ago we were talking about all the toiletries that we liberate from hotels etc, I have a big basket full of these but never use them. Now have a 'few' Dove minis if we go away so I have decided that I will try to use these freebies up and have put a few small bottles in the shower.

    Getting there, thanks Bubbs.
Sore throat gone, but still a very bad cough, but I at least have a bit of energy back.

I think frugal months must jinx me....when we did October the fridge gave up the ghost and we had to buy a new one....

This time it's the washer dryer....not a huge surprise,I have been waiting for it to depart for a few months....but all the same, any spare cash now goes on the new one that my dear friends from AO will be delivering on Sunday.

Hope you went through QC for the £10 cashback bonus.

Barclaycard rewards - have to investigate that one - I miss using the contactless TSB

I went yesterday, hoping to get the yule logs, as they were all dated for 3rd. However, reduced SEL was on shelf when I got there, and, all gone:(

Have price checked the mars bars packs of 9, this is a standard size store, and price checked at £2. Presume snickers will be the same. Maybe the glitch price is only at an extra/metro?
