Doctor gave him a number to call. I will be ringing shortly. We will go through all the palaver of DPA and they won't tell me a thing. I will tell them that it should be on his file that I can talk for him as he is deaf and hearing impaired. They will then advise me that it is not on his file, that they will have to check with the GP and can I call back in a couple of hours. I will then call back and get someone else and we will just repeat this mornings conversation. Happens all the time.:mad: Maybe I will be lucky today.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So annoying. I hope you get it sorted MKS.

well today is my D day

(not Saturday as I keep muddling the days up)

I have no idea how it is going to go but please can everything think intense bright shiny positive thoughts for me, it would be enough if we get through today with no cross words or tears - not expecting anything more really, just to get through it.

    Good luck.

    Thanks, tweets. :A

The lovely people on this forum, never fail to amaze me.

I am sitting here, feeling sad, as it is the anniversary of my Mum's death. Up pops tweets with a thought for me. :A Made me smile, thanks.

A few weeks ago, my son was diagnosed with three cancerous moles. A couple of :A:A on here, bubbs and queenie were there for me. :D Luckily he was fast tracked and his three moles were downgraded to one of 80% cancerous. He is now waiting to have them removed and treated but it looks quite positive. :) Fingers and everything else crossed.

Last week, my last remaining aunt was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and due to her age, will not be with us much longer. The next morning when I logged on, Snap-ant posted about a pair of Birkenstocks that she knew that I was after, at an MSE price. :A The same morning, I had an absolutely lovely pm from Ladyshopper that really lifted me. :A

The friendship and support of people on here is amazing.
    Thank you.

Morning luvlies, I'm a day behind with posts so catching up slowly. MKS sorry to hear of your troubles, hope things turn out well for all concerned :)

Thankyou MKS. Hope the check up goes well tomorrow. My ds is 25 in Jan and mole is on his back so he can't see it very well. Over the years I've pestered the life out of him until he went for it checking ( last time being a couple of years back ). He refuses to go again saying it's a waste of everyone's time even though doctor said she would check that mole anytime for him. It's very raised, very big & brown but he won't even let me look at it as he is sick of me nagging. I don't think it has changed from the little glimpse I've had of it but I worry about the sun on it. He asked for it removing last time but they said they wouldn't do it. Love to all xx

Get it taken off if you're concerned. Ask again, it's a waste of nobody's time.
I am sure it will all be fine. My youngest is covered in moles, and has had several removed from his back and scalp which were cancerous but low risk (sorry I cannot remember the exact words they used). He rather likes his scars. He now closely monitors his moulds, he had photographs of them, and gets one of us to check them monthly.

You should also measure them with a ruler to see if they increase in size. Anyone who has more than 50 moles has a higher risk of developing skin cancer. DH had malignant melanoma 4 years ago and I had to nag at him constantly to get one in the centre of his chest checked. Needed an incision right across his chest and bilateral removal of lymph nodes for belt and braces. Plastic surgeon who performed the op said I may very well have saved his life! Men are a nightmare when it comes to looking after themselves, fortunately he listens to me now and any tests offered him at well man checks he takes :)

Morning all! Grey and damp today, no frost in sight, more's the pity.

Hope everyone has a successful and enjoyable day, and good luck to mhoc. I'm having one of those moments where I can see the whole day stretching in front of me, and a massive list of things I could do with it, but can't work out which to do first, the chores or the fun things, or just nothing at all!

DH is having lots of fun with the Amazon Echo dot, making it do things with just voice control and also writing new code to make it do new things. He's also starting to attach his new program to it as part of his new business idea, so anyone looking to book holidays could soon be doing it in a whole new way :D So I'm glad I gave in and bought one for him, it's funny how something so simple has kept him occupied for hours :rotfl:

    Be grateful for any suggestions

About a year ago our council changed the recycling again and gave us a kitchen caddy... and about 200 biodegradeable liners on a rool, I think about 6l?

So we are now running out of liners and I was pretty shocked to find they aeem to be 11p+ each from the supermarkets for 20 packs. I can't beleive the council paid that much if they handed out 200 to every household so does anyone know where to get them in bulk at sensible prices?

I don't bother. Ugly caddy on work top, too much faff and I do think that it all ends up in land fill anyway.
