MKS, so sorry to hear of the tough times you've had. I must have missed you're post, sorry. That's the trouble with being so far behind, I end up missing people, I haven't skipped though, not yet.

My thoughts and love are with you MKS and hope that the Elite around you send enough comforting support xx

Thanks, aj, the Elite support has been brilliant. :A:A:A

DS had his check up and was told that his red eyes were due to coughing so much with the virus that we've had and should disappear within six weeks. He made an appointment for my DS to check that they'd be clear.:j
Doctor was surprised that DS's moles hadn't been removed yet and will be chasing it up.

They are normally very good at getting these removed quickly... I would be nagging him to chase this up. Better off than on!

It's not about saving money. It's about my own functional need to have information from M. However, maybe on this occasion it is about saving money. I arrived at my first store this afternoon and almost the first item I saw was one that had a cheaper price than I ended up with after 8 stores yesterday! As to why I visited more stores, see the next post. (I have decided to prioritise, for once, a reference to the good items:rotfl:, even if I don't necessarily name them all.)

So, a different price to the one I ended up with yesterday after many stores, probably because I only had the item in one store and it maybe had an incorrect price showing. However, on checking around the different store today, I then noticed several other items, all at lower prices from what I ended up with yesterday. It therefore seems to me that the items have gone on further reduction today.

Many of the Christmas tubes are now 50p. I'm sure that someone will beat this somewhere else though:o, but I think that now's the time that I stock up for the most part of next year. For example, buying the 150g Smarties tubes at 50p now is always better than any £1 offer on the 4 pack (152g) throughout next year:money:.

I had the Christmas tubes showing 50p SELs except for one of them - the Freddo tubes. I was about to conclude the Freddo tubes were also 50p although I kept seeing every store with 50ps and just those showing 75p - but I scanned them, at SS as it needs to be, and they are 75p:(. Anyway, I'm not sure why to go for the Freddo ones in any event as they are low weight - nearly half the weight of some of the others.

I've having issues working out some of the prices from the SELs as not all SELs have been changed yet (and some may never be changed for all I know:rotfl:) as I have arrived very early, most likely on the very first day of the current prices. For example, I found Kipling Frosty Fancies 8 pack (and there's also Festive Bakewells 6) are 50p although both my first two stores showed £1 for them - I discovered, in the second store, that they really were 50p when I scanned them. Only for me to go to another store and :doh:find them with 50p label there - although I just never know whether I'm going to have the product or not in any further stores.

It's possible therefore that some items may go down further but I have old higher prices on the list - I'm just going to have to take some of the SELs on trust as I can't scan the entire shelf of items. If I find every store showing the same price, I'm just going to have to take it that that is the price - even though that's the very problem area as I need one store to show me the true price but sometimes I have all stores showing full price and there being no way to tell by looking if that's right or not!

The items I have my doubt about are the Jacob's Caddy tins, the McVities Nibbles Chocolate biscuits and the large 600g bags of the M own label Salted Peanuts and Dry Roasted Nuts. They 'probably' are the prices that are stated - £1 (no good - looking for 50p), standard £1 (which they've been prior to Christmas so that's not really any good either, expect them to be much cheaper now surely?:rotfl:) and the nuts every store is saying £2.50 and 2 for £4 at the moment for me although I do wonder whether they are really £1. They weren't last week - I tried one and they scanned at £2.50 but who knows now? Last time (up to March this year), I first found them in only one store showing £1 (with very little stock) but full prices were showing in several other stores, so that now I just don't trust £2.50 at all:rotfl:. I think that the moment they disappear from online...;)

So, I don't know. Do scan those - and it has to be SS as the tills don't always tell you correct prices - if you wish just to see that my higher prices aren't incorrect. Because they could be.

I currently think that the Bassett's Jelly Santa Babies (165g), which appears to be the "Berry Mix", are 50p as I now have 50p labels but that the Merry Mix is probably still 75p, because all my stores, where they have the products, are consistent in having 50p on one and 75p on the other - and the situation with Freddo would make me think the different prices were correct - however it's possible that Merry Mix, although I think it's 75p, could be 50p.

I ended up with my final store today. My final store is always the last one I end with...:D:rotfl:! At first I thought I was not finding much additional there - but thought I'll keep going until I end up with virtually nothing new. I think the store did add the White Chocolate Coins that I have not had before (I still haven't found Walnut Whip, Festive Friends and Fingers Star and :doh:I'm now going to have to imply cheaper prices on some items from others that I have today where the items, which I had yesterday, I didn't have them today:rotfl:. I think not my next post but one after that may explain). However, I did actually have more from the final store - including 50p price label on the item I was told at the till earlier was £1:(:mad::rotfl:! Unfortunately, there was no stock in the 50p store (my final one) now and just the label with an incomplete description of the product and no weight:p, so, I can't take the weight, which I don't remember (as I forgot about it when I was told the product was £1), but now have the incomplete SEL. Nonetheless, I suppose this is just like I visited the store with the (believed to be correct) SEL in the first place and never happened to have gone to the other store. Where I find SELs on RTC seasonal items, I am just going to take the lowest price I find as those will be from the stores that have changed their SELs:cool:.

On the Jacob's Caddys - Twiglets, Mini Cheddars, Pigs in Blankets, some other one that I forget:o but I haven't taken any details so this should tell you - they are showing £1 for me (but I'm waiting for 50p as that's what they've been for virtually the rest of the year - they went up from 50p final reduction last year to £1.50 before Christmas just gone and are, supposedly, only down to £1 now - which I'm just going to have to trust as no store is showing me any lower price - I just can't think of a way I'm afraid to decline them at the £1 they will probably scan at). I am just waiting for the time when, after visiting numerous stores all showing £1, I finally visit one store and find 50p showing only to find no stock at all there:mad::mad:, be unable then to get to any other store:( and then never find them thereafter anywhere else!:rotfl::(

If/when they get to 50p, assuming I find them again - last time I managed to buy some of the versions but never found all of them (once they were at 50p) - they will be excellent for probably the first half of next year as standard bags of Mini Cheddars etc. at normal offer prices through the year never work out as good.

On the seasonal items generally - namely the tubes and the Jacob's Caddys - I didn't find them as well-stocked last year - some versions I had trouble finding once they were 50p - for example, last year I think (if I remember rightly - I probably do!) I ended up with Pink Smarties Christmas tubes only for some time and it took me a while before I found a store that had Regular Smarties left, which were then also 50p. I think we may have to go through a 75p before we get to 50p on the Jacob's... though, by then, they will be much less available:(, although, for me:p:rotfl::A, I shouldn't have a problem finding one store with them in. (It's the benefit I get from all the hard work I suppose!) This year, though, certainly at this stage, the 50p tubes are 'everywhere' although that's likely to be because I have found them very early. I don't know - with it being a weekend this time but over which we have the New Year perhaps fewer people will be shopping than a normal weekend so maybe they will last a bit longer in stock - and then maybe even go to 25p if they then aren't selling for that reason:think::think:? I've no idea - if I buy them now, they are sure to go to 25p (:( at paying twice as much!), but, if I don't and hold out, they never will - they will stick stubbornly at 50p and then will vanish without trace on me:(:rotfl:.

I used two extra stores as what was to be my final store pulled a rabbit out of the hat on me late at night!:(:rotfl: Unfortunately I couldn't check if the item was full price as I've used too many lives in that store - not able to keep scanning and cancelling yet again without arousing suspicion - and no other way to check. I also then wanted to see if any further store had the same situation and whether they would show me a late price change: I'd been seeing the offer price in every other store all day.

I concluded (and this has been reinforced today) that there was no change - the item had only gone on offer on Monday anyway so would be strange if it was immediately pulled - although the errant store's full price labels showed yesterday's date on them so, it seems, were brand new. It also had offer price labels on stock of the same product elsewhere in the store with the same date:rotfl:.

This seems to be some new way of price presentation in M - although there are still new offers that are using the old style labels, some are using this new way that gives the week of the year, in which presumably the item went onto the price that is showing, and unfortunately no end date anymore. However, I also came across yesterday one store that had an offer price on the Bird's Trifles, the label dated yesterday's date, but as far as I know they went back to full price yesterday (the offer was due to end 27th December), so it seems the one store had printed off incorrect labels. I do not know whether the date is simply the date they printed the label or is something else retrieved from the computer system. I've not seen £1 offer anywhere else now though, so I'm taking it that that seemingly brand new SEL is wrong.

I also had another store present to me a £10 full price on the Cat train set that had been £5 for about a week (unless I first found it at the very end of the RTC) - it seemed to be £10 yesterday according to the label that had yesterday's date on it. When I first saw it, in an earlier store, I thought this it may have ended on RTC and gone back to £10 but, after I decided the £1 seemingly brand new offer labels for Bird's Trifle elsewhere were incorrect, I was not entirely sure. I reckoned the £10 showing in that store was probably correct though - even though these other new labels elsewhere I think are wrong - and that this probably meant the Peppa Pig Doughball Playset, that had been £5 RTC, may also now have increased to full price. Unfortunately this had already cleared out of my last remaining store, in the set I used yesterday, by literally one week, so I couldn't check as I didn't find the product at all.

Today, I've managed to resolve both - the Cat train set was found showing £10 in another store - which, with now two stores, one yesterday, one today, showing £10, I was closer to thinking was now the actual price but I have managed to scan it and it is £10:(. I found the Doughball playset in another store later today, now moved to by the tills, with big £10 label, and I've managed to check and it is £10:(. So, the RTC has now ended (it was definitely scanning at £5 only about a week or two ago) - and it seems, maybe, keep the item in its normal aisle with £5 RTC on it but, unless people went looking for it or otherwise entered that aisle, they would not see it or put it on the RTC shelf at one stage that people may not necessarily visit. Later, when you've doubled the price back up, bring the item out to the front of the store and put it near the tills with big £10 price label. So, just to let you know, if you see the item now, it was £5.

    Morning

    MKS (((x)))

    Gocat(((X)))

Saver sue I was told by the click an collect lady that the subs would be price matched but then after she phoned the store she was told that didn't apply to fresh and I haven't received anything so I don't know, have a look at the original post as I read on there that someone is waiting for a voucher of £150:eek: I think she might have been fobbed off

Wondering if Sue has got all her chickens yet:rotfl: I can't think of anything to add to the brilliant suggestions so far. Do you had any 10p loaves of bread you can throw out?:rotfl: You are so right about taking stuff out and not being able to fit it back in. I think it sort of moulds to the space available.[/QUOTE]

    Sainsbury's Chicken Saga
Collected at 9am. Only 12 available and most of them subs. Charged full price for all of them. Driver told me to go in-store and ask to speak to on-line shopping manager.
Explained I'd ordered them as 75% off, so expected to pay that price, including subs.
He checked computer and said no such offer and even so, for subs have to pay the real price and then get refunded as a voucher to spend off further shops. Pretty useless if you don't intend doing any :(
Told him I was refusing the whole shop. Rang Customer Services who said the offer finished on Wednesday (only ordered in the early hours of Wednesday morning, so today was the first day I could collect) and they don't honour the price you ordered at once an offer has been removed
So now I have to wait for a refund, but did insist they compensated me for the time and wasted journey.
Offered me a £10 credit off my next on-line order, told them that was useless as I never intend to do one again:) So offered to send me a £10 Gift Card in the post.
