  • Seren and I agree with you... but it was just how it was.

Yes, it was just how it was. :(

It made me very independent, but that's not much fun either.

Thanks all. Found some on ebay from about 5p/bag in bulk. We did try begging the council for more but they don't hand out any more apparently :( Getting DW to recycle at all is a bit of a struggle so I fear newspaper is likely to be a non- starter.
I just use newspaper and just gather up left over food, vegetable cuttings etc as I'm doing the cooking, and out in the brown bin it goes. Is just a habit now and probably just takes as much effort as putting food in a caddy etc. My mum has a caddy and I find it more fiddlesome and messy really. Rather just wrap and go lol :)

I emailed amex yesterday asking them if they wanted the details of my missing shop small credits, or if they required me to wait the 8 weeks to see if they appear on my statement. They responded saying if I provided the transaction dates/amounts, they would add the credits to my account.....so if anyone is missing any credits I would suggest an email to them.

I had already contacted them about shops that either did not take amex, or had ceased trading/changed ownership etc....so have already had quite a bit of credit from them from those emails :j
