I've seen a number of Ms yesterday and today - more today - that are having to clear fresh veg. at very cheap prices. I need not have been concerned about 2.5Kg potatoes prices in Aldi - I managed to have some 2.5Kg Maris Piper Potatoes at 9p from M:T:T. They are on their date but will last much longer (they looked brand new). There is at least one store with some 2.5Kg King Edward Potatoes at 10p as of ten minutes ago, although, with me having got the 9p potatoes earlier, I didn't need to bother. Another pack of sprouts, at 9p, would not go amiss though:rotfl:. So, maybe buying on their date would have been much cheaper than paying Aldi/Lidl 19p:eek:. I can't go wrong with 9p sprouts even though :oI have lots already.

Of course I can't guarantee that anything will be left in your store, but it's probably likely you will have something tonight. A year or two ago I remember it was apples packs at 25p that one store had tons of and was never going to clear the whole lot in the day - Christmas Day had just meant that stock lies for a further day unsold:T(:rotfl:). This time it seems to be the veg. that is in oversupply. I've also seen some Parsnips packs earlier, although they didn't look too good and some Brocolli, again at 9p, although that too looked well past its best.

With the regular potatoes knocked down to 9p (store-specific but doubtless it's happening in many stores), I did want any 2.5Kg Wonky Potatoes at 9p:rotfl:. Not having any of them:(, when I can get good ones the same price:T.

There's far more else to mention soon! Let's just say, for now, there is a lot of change between yesterday and today:rotfl:. If you are going, and want to spend more money(:rotfl:), I'd have a look at the reduced seasonal items (and not necessarily trust the SELs) instead of waiting for me to tell you about things you don't have in your store but failing to mention things that you do have:rotfl:.

    Blimey that's horrible.

My ma became totally dependent after dad died. No dementia, just a nasty streak on display most days, combined with a high sense of entitlement. It was exhausting and draining, I was convinced that she'd outlive me.

    She went 3 years later.

I know it is sad, but I bet it was a relief (I know when dad died it was a flipping relief... if only we know it was going to get worse!)

Oh Wendy, no turkey or Christmas pud!

I hope you managed to find something elsewhere.
Like you, I lurk when I'm low, but here's hoping that 2017 has us all on a high!

I think lots of us do that pippo, we keep reading the thread but just get round to posting. Positive thoughts for 2017 though :j

I just got overcharged in asda - garlic roule (found in the cheese aisle) £1.84 each or £3 for 2 but the multi didn't come off.

Apparently I wasn't entitled to a £2 gift card because I'd used the self scan tills and therefore it was my responsibility to keep an eye on the prices. Well, a quick phone call to CS soon sorted that out :rotfl:

If she hadn't been so snidey I'd have let it slide, but she was so I didn't :rotfl:

    Thanks bubbs.
Had a look, the ring ds got his gf was £26 cheaper so they have reordered as she wanted a bigger size. They said they'll return the full price one and go out for a meal with the money saved, great as they are both at college and don't go out very often. :money:

Sorry no time to read back.

DD has returned from a couple of days in Yorkshire. Her car has been vandalised while away:o It's hard to say what's happened to it but it looks like someone has been jumping on it or there's possibly been a couple fighting over the bonnet. She is devastated. It's a brand new car.
What I'm wondering is.....the windscreen is a mess....it's as if someone with trainers ingrained with gravel, has been kicking and scuffing the glass. Its a mess:o
Does anyone know if there's anything we can use to make good the glass?

    Thank you
I a so sorry to hear this:mad::mad: hope you can get it sorted, wil the insurance not pay?
