TMadly sorry to hear about your daughters car ....gggrrrrrr0

We had a friend like that (drink wise) We went out regularly to a quiz and he was always the last to buy a drink, hoping that when it got to his turn we would have had enough. We all decided to force him into buying a round. fortunately his wife came out with us that week and she blasted him saying 'for f...s sake P... put you hand in your pocket and buy the bloody drinks!'
The thing I find funny with our ex friends was that he was serious crimes police sergeant! After we 'split' we found out that he led a double life and had affairs all over the place! His wife is still with him because she dosen't want to give up the house and fancy life style they lead.

DD has returned from a couple of days in Yorkshire. Her car has been vandalised while away:o It's hard to say what's happened to it but it looks like someone has been jumping on it or there's possibly been a couple fighting over the bonnet. She is devastated. It's a brand new car.
What I'm wondering is.....the windscreen is a mess....it's as if someone with trainers ingrained with gravel, has been kicking and scuffing the glass. Its a mess:o
Does anyone know if there's anything we can use to make good the glass?
Thank you

If she is getting the bonnet done on the insurance, she might as well get the windscreen done under the same claim. I know the national windscreen companies can come to you and replace the same day.
After thinking, I am presuming that since she managed to drive back, that it isnt 'too' bad, in so much that she can still drive it. If so, some Jewellers rouge and an electric car polisher should sort it out if they are not too deep. (If only faint, try a cloth, lots of elbow grease and some toothpaste.)“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

My parents had the kids for a few hours whilst I gave birth...
We have lived around the corner from them for 22 years, apart from mum coming to ours for a drink every night they were not interested in the kids. She was interested in one of my sisters kids..... weird.
When the DS3 was doing his AS levels they started being demanding of him which ruined his AS levels. They got more demanding, and when dad died, mum was even worse.... sadly I do not think I like her.
An example of her behaviour - I had reminded her that it was DS1 birthday approaching and if she got a card I would post it for her, she did not do this so I bought a card and asked her to right it... she refused saying that she had not wrote him a card in three years and she is not starting now. DS1 sends her flowers for xmas, mothers' day and her birthday.
She really is a horrid woman, and now she has dementia she is worse.
Blimey that's horrible.
My ma became totally dependent after dad died. No dementia, just a nasty streak on display most days, combined with a high sense of entitlement. It was exhausting and draining, I was convinced that she'd outlive me.

I think this behaviour is much more likely with police. Years ago, it came out that OH's brother was having a long term affair with a woman in the next village to us.... her child called him daddy. When it all came to light he is supposed to have ended the relationship, but we often see him in the next village!:o
A few years ago DS1 was home and had a date.... the next morning BIL was on the phone as this was the girlfriends daughter... aka his cousin. The cat was really out of the bag!100 -
