Know how you feel you want to run to them, DD2 is not having good start to this uni year and we are getting calls nearly daily. . Some hour long. :eek: and nothing we can really help out with. Aw, hope your DD feels better soon, it's unnerving when you doubt your own competence, I'm sure we've all been there, and to me it is a trait of the genuine professional. It's the ones who feel they know it all that are the real worry. So hugs to her, and to you for having to take the fallout, it's stressful for you when you feel you can't help but often just listening helps them shed the angst and move forward again. x

Must be something in the air about an uneasy settling into the new academic year, as DGD doesn't like juniors much. Bit of a shock after the cosseting of infants. At 7 she has reaffirmed that she still wants to become a teacher (she decided this would be a nice job ever since starting school) but now says she will teach infants as juniors are far too cheeky and naughty... :rotfl:

Well I am in preparation for frugal October...so anyone who cares to set their challenge have a think about it over the next few days and opt in if you want from the 1st....

We are going to pledge £10 per week on food for the 2 of us.

If you want to read along I will post some updates and probably have a running total as my sig....lets see how it goes and hopefully we can be somewhere near the target come the end of next month
