  • Worst one this week - I usually just close door on kids rooms and pretend they don't exist, but I signed up for this so here goes with lunch time update

Friday - those frightening Friday kids rooms and spare rooms

    Level One
[strike]Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see
    [/strike]
    Level Two
[strike]Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc [/strike]
[strike]Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!![/strike] Don’t forget the light shade!! Couldnt reach but will sort out when dh comes home
    Level Three
Strip beds and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!! Both have high beds and cant reach but will sort out when DH comes home
Drag all that junk out from under the bed and deal with it as required e.g. bin, put away, wash etc
[strike]Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors [/strike]
    Extra Task List

As usual pick any one or more of the following if you fancy an extra challenge today and are still alive after entering the kids rooms!!
    • Fun one.. look in that medicine cupboard... is there anything you can fling? Is there anything you need to stock up on? It is soon to be snot and grot season so make sure you have all you will need.. nothing worse than wanting a lemsip right now and having none in!!!!
    • Time for the Friday Flylady Fling, in the toy box!!!! aim for 27.. if no toy box you’ll have to choose another area!
    • Clean 2 radiators or the skirting in any room of your choice!.. or if you have the bug today you could do both! ;)
    • [strike]
    • Clean any one (or more) window that needs doing
    • [/strike]Last lot this week.. 30 minutes of ironing for those in the challenge.. anything left today.. send to charity shop!! Lol I hope that it has made a difference! Who can now see the bottom inside the basket??
Dont think I need to do any ironing today either - nothing in!!

Gremlins collected.. just waiting for either hubby or DS1 to get home so I can scoot off for my nail appointment.. just snaffled 2 plums.. in the interests of clearing the fridge!! lol

I have no idea what will be on the plates for tea.. hubby can do that.. so it will likely be potato waffles, sausages and beans/peas.. hey.. it's food I'll eat it! lol What is everyone else having?

I am having a very dutch dish.
    It's called: hutspot.

Very good actually.. we eat it a lot here in Holland in the winter times.

You peel tatties, and about half the amount of carrots. Preff. those huge winter carrots. chop them into bit..
half amount of unions... (so carrots half amount of tatties.. unions, half the amount of the carrots0

Bang it all in a bit pot with water and boil until done.

Then mash the whole thing up. Add fried bacon bits if you like, and serve with sausage and gravy.

it is lovely, cheap and feeds a huge amoung of people as easily as 2.

I didn't do any flying today. Little squirt is quite ill. She's running a temp. and has a nasty little cough. I've spent most of the day on the couch under a quilt hugging her and watching telletubbies.

(gasping for a smoke after hours and hours of telletubbies!!)

Well we've just been and put a deposit down on the house we liked, just waiting for some references to come back and see if she will accept us as tenants! Fingers crossed. It actually works out it's only going to cost us £100 pcm more than this place instead of the £150 I thought which is even better! Will hopefully know by the end of next week!

Done a little on the assignment but not much as had to go and sort that out first. Going to do more after the boys have gone to bed.

Tonights mission before they go to bed - get them to help toy sort, what they want to keep and what needs to go! They don't know we've put a deposit down on somewhere but are more keen on moving than we are and told them I need a hand with it if we're going to move. Not telling them until I have the keys in my hand, could all fall through yet!

Going on Monday to list if we are accepted (supposedly she's desperate to rent it out) what we need taking out of the house furniture wise, might get them to leave the washing machine in aswell, if we're paying for furnished (wouldn't drop the price as knocked £75 pcm off it anyway) then I may aswell use it!

Wonder if me getting dishwasher tablets to do a survey on is a sign ? I haven't got one but the house we're hoping for has, maybe they know something I don't :rotfl:

As for the time scale for moving, if it's accepted next week I'll have probably 3 weeks, so will be a bit manic!
    Becca that recipe sounds lovely!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Lil_me how exciting about the house! I really hope it works out for you all!!

My DD1 has taken my place in the babycuddle seat, so I can now go and make the dinner..

    :D

I'm cold now... been tucked under the quilt all day... brrrrrrr

Good news lil_me, fingers crossed in Exeter!

Not much to report. Littlest is asleep, biggest has just pooed himself AGAIN! Is it normal at this age? He's 4 and a half, he honestly just seems to be too engrossed in what he's doing to bother going to the toilet. He holds onto it, dancing around and if you ask him to go to the loo, he starts shouting at you, saying he doesn't need to go, calling names etc. Then, hey presto, he goes ahead and does it in his pants ten minutes later. Grrr, grrr, grrr.

Not vey MSE, but I just throw the pants away nowadays, I can't be doing with putting my hand in the wash basket just to pull it back in disgust!!!

Right, house is not too bad. Most surfaces are clear, but not clean, I'm afraid. I need a fairy to do my dusting for me. Or a fairy to take littles out for a while, then I'd just do it myself!

Can't wait to hear fom Jill, we must make a note of where her congratulations start, so that she can read them when she comes back.

Have a good day all, Mara x

Afternoon all, the sun is still shining here. Kids want beans on toast for tea - will do that soon as they are all grumpy then think I will cut the grass and do a bit of prunning to get some fresh air
