Morning all - it is lovely out there - been out for my fast walk/run done my stretches/hoovered and mopped kitchen and hall floors.

Then to go to town for food bank etc now so hope to fit in a bit more flying later if not have all of tomorrow at home alone so will be able to catch up then.

    Hello motivational team :)

Another newbie here. At present I stay with a buddy during the week (on her sofa-bed) and am at home at the weekends so I can't stick to the 'traditional' flying schedule. However, I do like the lists that are provided (thanks pigpen!) and hope to take part so it keeps me on the OS straight and narrow.

    MushyPeas Tuesday list:

    WORK
Work: full 7 hours! (I owe my dep time!) DONE
Work other: C DONE / RW DONE / A TO DO TOMORROW

    STUDY
    Study: 30 min ECDL

    ADMIN
    Post photos to aunt DONE
Re-book ECDL exam E-MAILED TO REARRANGE
    Re-book Osteopath DONE
Post claim for car cleaning to local Council DONE
Print recipe for cooking tonight (look on OS recipe thread) DONE
Keep up to date with personal accounts DONE

    Also:
    Change meeting re: course E-MAILED
    Order friend's wedding photos DONE

    FLYING
Shopping: toiletries, cleaning products (see if I can pick up OS products), food
WM - one load and iron afterwards (impressive, eh?!)
Make batch of lentil soup incl. for tea
    Sweep / dust lounge

I have a bit of a conundrum: I'm renting a sofa bed off a friend during the week, so sort of a lodger. The place needs a clean/tidy and I'm happy to help out. Do you think I should just stride in and start cleaning (suggesting she is untidy and unclean) or ask first? I'm going to dust/sweep the room I sleep in tonight and then really want to tackle the bathroom in the future!

Also going to start a dailies list for myself, is there an example anywhere of what other people do for dailies? Or is that just me being nosey ;)

Mushy.. that is a complex one.. I would speak to the friend first and say you WANT to help out cleaning wise but don't want to offend so are there any jobs she hates doing you could do? (my answer would be I hate it all get on with it!! and I'd throw a cloth at you!! lol) Otherwise you could go about it the sneaky way.. go for a shower and 'spill' something and just 'get carried away' and have the bathroom sparkly.

Now.. I'm escaping up the merries to see if I can get this wall in DS1's room stripped before Tiddles wakes up!! see you all in a bit!!

Two loads of washing on the line, including my bedding. I know I'm a day early but I just felt like doing it, the weather is lovely.

I'm planning to vacuum upstairs later. Planning to, I don't know if I will. The dog is having an operation today and I can't think about much else. I'm sure she will be fine - says my head - but my heart tells me different......The house is so empty without her, even though there are three of us here today. Just waiting for the phone to ring.
  • Thanks for the reassurance pigpen and nearlynewbie, I've been really worried about her, she's only a little dot. She's gained 5lbs since birth, but hasn't grown in length much (not bothered about her height though - I'm only 5'1 myself, we always have a handy stepladder in this house). She's still adorably chubby, got all of the arm, leg and knuckle rolls, so I thought she was ok, but the HVs get all of a fluster when children don't fit the figures!

5lb's since birth isn't at all bad!! DS3 gained 6lb by 6 months!!!!

So long as she is wet, dirty, full of beans and alert when awake she is fine.. And.. that is exactly why I don't see HV's.. Tiddles has been seen once by a HV when she was 3 weeks old (or thereabouts!) I refuse to have them in the house!! I think DD4 was only seen 3 times.. and 2 of those was because she was unwell and I couldn't get her in to see the GP so I took her to baby clinic.. rfused to have her weighed etc and got put through to see the GP.. sneaky but effective!! lol

    Right.. update..

DS1's room is now stripped.. I'm getting Tiddles some food, making a cuppa, finding the steps (Goodness knows why I won't go above the 3rd step so I may as well use a chair) then I can do the landing too.. I WILL have my house deocrated if it kills me!!!!!!

ooh.. binbags that what else I came down for.. *grin*.. I knew I should be blonde!! lol

Hi everyone, haven't done much so far but will start soon. Had an ot out today about getting a disability grant and i think it went well but we'll get the decision within the next 4 weeks, i was so nervous last night i hardly slept but at least it's all over now.

Maralum don't worry about weight gain, your baby will take what it needs. I have 2 that were small at birth and are still under weight, they've been seen by so many people. To me there just very fine.

Now to get a nice cuppa.laughing-smiley-014.gif
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

2 weetabix cakes in the oven.. they apparently take about an hour.. so should be ready to come out just as I have to leave to collect the gremlins so I have 1 hour to completely strip the landing.. and get all the mess cleared away.. DD5 is eating the bowl scrapings!!! Who remembers doing that as a child???? She thinks it is wonderful because normally there are 4 or 5 hands in there.. and she just has a spoon!!! lol

ok.. back to the grindstone.. you do realise I've not touched the front room??? lol
