Hi All!
Well we came back from Butlins a day early (though both DH and I wanted to leave before we had even unpacked this time:eek: ). Think me and hubby were the only guests that didnt have tattoos (not that I have anything against them, just an observation:o ). We went to the panto on Saturday to have a group of kids infront of us stabbing each other with those trick knives (where the blade gets pushed into the handle), our 2 littles were a bit confused and horrified about why they were hurting each other (bit difficult to explain to a 3 and 4 year old), bit disappointed that Butlins sells things like this with all the stabbings going on in schools etc these days - seems bonkers to me. Breaking point was Saturday night. Kids in bed asleep by 8pm (late night for them), then someone playing football against their bedroom wall. We went to bed about 10 ish to be woken at 11.30 by people coming back from pub (fair enough) again at 12.30 by someone shouting down their mobile whilst staggering back to their apartment, again at 1.30 by what I guess was 10 elephants climbing the stairs to their apartment across from us. Then at 2.30am when someone decided they couldnt be bothered to walk so used one of the luggage trolleys to wheel their mate home and slamming it against our apartment wall. This was followed by another half hour of various people singing, shouting and generally driving me crackers. Needless to say being british I just sat in bed ranting away to myself about it. So I will NEVER return to Butlins again.
Not much flying done as last few days before DD1 starts school (Wednesday) so we went bowling and planet zoom (indoor play thingy) today. Tomorrow off to the beach for the day.
I have got an interview on Wednesday but not sure if I want it as its for full-time, which would mean huge change for girls for probably no extra money by the time childcare is taken out of it  .
Anyway - Lil_me, hope you find somewhere you love soon and that the situation where you are stays bearable until you do move.
Elizzy - That is a really really nice touch, I am sure her hubby will appreciate the gesture.
Kaz - Sorry to hear your having DD probs too. Mine has been better since the cast came off but think the school starting thing is creeping in again as few "angry faces". So difficult to know what to do, like living with timebombs:eek: .
Nicki - Hope those hands feel better soon.
All Newbies - this thread is fab, your house will look amazing, you will feel so much happier and a better group of people you could not wish to meet:D
Becca - :T Well done on the non-smoking - keep it up girl!
Michelle - stillfor you and your fab news, remember to take it easy whenever you get the chance (or make time)
Sexymouse - right choice to leave the Pub - they sound like a right bunch of merchant bankers
Pigpen - I am not joining in until Thursday when DH goes back to work so
on that note I am running as fast as I can so she cannot whip me with her feather duster:D
Night all x0 -
Shell that sounds like our holidays!!! We go to Haven though not Butlins!!! Thursday is fine.. but you can play catch up..LOL!!! I bet you'll be washing until Thursday anyway!!!! I said we are not going on holiday ever again!! I can't cope with the hassle. If having your hubby off work is anything like me having mine off work it means days of cleaning and DIY and sorting and flinging anyway so I'm sure you'll be doing something!
DD1 was amazed at the lack of stench in DS1's room..
I've nearly completed my list.. need to brandish my brush and swish the surfaces.. Does anyone know why I've done level 3 but not level 2 or 1???LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Evening!!
I am a very bad gingergirl and haven't done enough work today!! Sorry Pigpen!!!! Friend from work called so spent 50 mins on phone - she was having probs. (Does helping friends count as an extra mission????)

Also did the kitchen shelf hotspot and filed last weeks important post.Honestly.. I am nice.. really.. I am thinking of all those little bits of mine that need doing.. My house is a bin!!!

Pigpen - it's not really fear - it's admiration that you can have your lovely big family AND find time for Flylady AND still sound like a sane, well adjusted individual!! (What's the secret - and can you get some on ebay???!!)
Oh yes.. that definitely counts.. I think it is most admirable when people think enough of you to come to you for help and advise.. it says a lot about a persons character!
Less of the sane as well if you don't mind!!! lol The children all go to school and Tiddles has a BIG nap in an afternoon most days so I don't really have any excuse.. tell you what though.. it was really demoralising trying to keep going during the holidays when they were trashing faster than I could physically tidy but last week when they went back and I got on top of most of it again it was nice that it didn't take me 5 weeks it only took a few hours a day.. that made the struggles htrough the holidays worth while.. I do rope them in to do a lot and I boss hubby into doing a bit as well.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
