i was on a one year contract and i changed my tarriff after 12 months. on sending in the 12th month bill they refused payment saying that i had broken the terms of my contract by changing the tariff. they have refused to pay up despite my explanation. STAY AWAY FROM THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!0

Ah so you are the one! Nearly every post I see about mobileshop echoes my experience with them. They used to have the best reputation around but over the last 9 to 12 months all that has gone out of the window and I would say that almost 100% of their customers have had cashback payments delayed or not paid. They even changed the terms and condtions of my contracts while it was sill in mid-contract. Are you sure you have not had to wait longer than 60 days(already a a long time)for your cashback to be paid?
...we had exactly the same experience as Thor with two contract phones. We were due 8 payments. The first 5 were processed in accordance with the T's & C's - which then changed and their customer service went down the tube! We got all our payments eventually but only after getting ready to sue in the Small Claims Court. MSC paid up just before the deadline we stated.

I'm another who has had no problem at all with Mobile Outlet. My two contracts have always received the cashback applied for.
I do agree though, Phones2U are a bunch of crooks. They are simply not paying out and should be avoided- I would imagine that this is a good warning sign of a company ready to go bust(?).
However, my advice to anyone is to sit down right at the point of purchase and work out (and document) whatever you are required to do for the rest of the year. One thing to watch out for is that some companies require you to send off the packing slip that came with the phone.
I personally use a Yahoo email account, which gives you a personal Yahoo Calendar. I then set a reminder for the start of each of the claim months, which means that the calendar sends me a reminder email just before the relevant bill comes in.0 -

Just finished a 12 month contract with mobileshop ..... Got to say that although I made recovery of all monies due, I did have to chase almost every payment with them.... so the new phone & contract did only end up at a tenner a month !
For last 3 payments, I elected to "swap" my £60 cashback for Argos / Homebase Card. This came much quicker although is retrictive in use to just the few shops.
Now elected to go with 3 mobile.. .£15 a month, brand new & FREE X series internet phone with 500 txts & 75 mins. More than enough for my two cherubs.. and a lot less hassle without the reclaiming.
Enjoy

In May I bought a phone from One Stop Phone Shop.
A few days later I received a contract but it was from Carphone Warehouse
And last week I received my first cash back cheque... from e2save !
What's going on??? Are they trying to confuse me because it's working!
Are there any other CPW subsiduaries that I might hear from???0 -

Same thing happened to me - I sent my cashback to carphonewarehouse and was informed that it needed to be sent to "mobile outlet"0 -
AVOID at all costs. Have been great in the past but have recently started to mess people around and changingg terms and conditions midway. Try and stick to CPW and e2 save good past experiences.
Good luck.0 -
I don't know how this work - but to check my o2 bill, I have to log on carephonewarehouse and click on the "my account" icon to see my call charges, bills etc.Don't think Mobile Outlet is linked to CPW!
I receive my cashback from mobile outlet but o2 bill from carephonewarehouse, so, I initially got a bit confused with where I should send my chequeback bills.;)0 -
Not sure why people keep recommending cpw now; obviously haven't been looking at the latest threads on them too! There are going to be a LOT of VERY irate customers soon who have had good experiences with them in the past.0
