And, whoever you choose, don't do what I just did and gather your September statement ready to send off, only to find that you should have sent it off in August - and lost yourself 9 x £40/m ..... three hundred and bloody sixty quid.

That my friend is exactly what they rely on and how they make their money. It's a risky business but as already stated pick a decent company and comply with all T&C's. But most of all be disciplined with it or you will pay heavily. Make sure you send all corrospondence off as recorded deliveries as well.

I know most people say avoid mobile outlet but I have had no real problems with them. They are slow in paying but as long as you stick to the T & C's then you shouldn't hve a problem. I have just finished one contract for 2 phones with them and have decided after a lot of reading around that it may be better the devil you know, so I have ordered two more with them. I will let you know how it goes.

    May God help you.:rotfl:

I'm on my second contract with MobileShop.com and have had no problems :)
You only get 30 days to claim the money back though (missed my first one last month).

I'm on my 2nd one with them too, first no problems, but have yet to be paid this time. Have googled it and seems recurrent problems this year. However, seems to be paid out when you phone/write and complain.
  • avoid MOBILESHOP -like the plague!! e2save are good no probs.
  • Another vote for E2Save here. I've done two or three with them and had no problems, and as ppl have said they text you to let you know your claim has been received/cheque been sent.

Personally I'd deal with CPW/CPW companies and maybe The Link and Phones 4 u but no-one else when it comes to cashback.

Ah so you are the one! Nearly every post I see about mobileshop echoes my experience with them. They used to have the best reputation around but over the last 9 to 12 months all that has gone out of the window and I would say that almost 100% of their customers have had cashback payments delayed or not paid. They even changed the terms and condtions of my contracts while it was sill in mid-contract. Are you sure you have not had to wait longer than 60 days(already a a long time)for your cashback to be paid?

Got paid by mobileshop after a letter threatening legal action. Unfortunately I had already applied for a second contract before these problems surfaced. :-(

e2save & CPW are about the best for cashback.
Dont touch Mobile Outlet with a bargepole. As previously stated this is well documented on the phone board

I always use E2save or Carphone Warehouse myself but my son got a contract with Mobile Outlet in May and has just sent for 1st Cashback. What is the problem with them??
  • I wonder if the unfair terms in consumer contracts act would cover you where a phone retailer will not give cashback if you miss just one of the redemption periods? Surely this situation is unfair, and is effectively an outrageous penalty clause?

We have had three cash bakc phones over the last 18 months, 1 with Carphone Warehouse and 2 with onestopphoneshop.

All have paid the cash backs with no problems at all.

Just had a new phone ffrom phonebox direct so hope i'm gonna get the cash back with this company.

Does anybody know which one had just gone bankrupt?
