Thank you, lots going on this year with 30th's, hen do's, weddings etc so having good fun. Just a shame I seem to lose all sense of responsibility with money once i've had a drink :rotfl:.
On the plus side i got a random letter yesterday from british gas saying they had charged me too much by £6 when i left and would give me an extra £7 goodwill so that's £13 i didn't have before.
Also still doing well on the prolific surveys.0 -

I have been the same the last few years, lots of 40th's. We have been invited to 2 weddings abroad this year and hadn't been at a wedding since 2010 so definitely all or nothing. The way I see it about the zero birthdays is we won't get to celebrate them for another decade! LolTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

That reminds me, I have three 30th birthdays next year in my family so I best get my thinking cap on! Rich doesn't want a fuss but I'm hoping to squirrel away enough money to recreate a holiday we went on back in 2010, go to a bakery and pub that he always harps on about (thankfully still owned by the same people so should be just as nice!)
Unexpected money is always good! My unexpected money, however, likes to leave my bank accountI popped to HB this morning for those 79p off-brand chocolate fingers that are actually on-brand and spent £9 by the time I got to the till.. :money:

Me too. I'm far more restrained with an online shop. With the little corner shop dashes I spend a fortune.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Same here. If I go to the big discounters I end up buying more because the kids see things they want, then they don't have things I want so I have to go to a second shop anyway. If I do it online I can keep an eye on my total, and compare how much that cheese is per kg to the other one for example.
Doing my tax return today. Truely terrifying how much money I spent on Amazon last year. So many pages of ebooks. True I rarely spend over 99p on them, but I have over 500 unread books on my kindle now. That's a lot of money.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I had to have a word with OH about the amount of ebooks he was buying. He is a total bookworm but was spending between €40-50 a month. He is now investigating ebooks from the libraryTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Itchy. Think he's all scabbed over though so he's coming on the school run today. It's been 6 days and most things say by day 5 at the latest they're usually no longer contagious.
I'm just plodding away trying to make some pennies. Don't think we'll hit the £2k target this month - have a £330 bill to pay to the structural engineer, my wages are down due to the pox, NIMs car needs around £500 of repairs. Should still be lower but not as much as I wanted. Still, celebrate the small victories right - it hasn't gotten bigger.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
