Hey,
Just checking in on our loooong drive home. You live in a beautiful part d the world the beaches are beautiful!
Sounds like you've had a great week with all the extra cash coming in. And good job on putting it all off the cc's too. Gutted about the eBay commission though. I guess this is how they make money on the larger items. Hopefully by using eBay you got a better asking price than you would have locally.
How about you do your July food budget challenge as a online food shop trial too?

Hi Ramble
Just been reading your diary (I'm a bit addicted to lots of them lol) and thought I'd say hello.
I've been thinking about doing an online shop - only becuase Asda are doing an £11 Topcashback deal that I thought I could take advantage of. But, I started the shop and I just couldn't face all the choices. I usually shop in Aldi (which is 5 minutes up the road) and the online shop just seemed too much like hard work.
I used to do a weekly online Tesco shop in another life. But that's another story!

Hi Louby, welcome. and Hi Hannah R too.
Sorry for my slow response - a few days away with the folks.
Well we've gone for the internet shopping challenge for the month (and I now have square eyes!) I had a list of what I wanted so it wasn't too bad - I think if I was trying to work out what I needed and shop online it would be AWFUL. We've gone with Asda for a change to get the cashback option and also because I have never shopped with them so be interesting to see what stuff is like. Already missing Aldi though - you are lucky to have one down the road (or maybe not if it's too easy to spend!) I've also ordered a veggie box as we have a great local supplier so hoping to get fruit and veggies this way, and staples from the SM. We'll see. Aiming to get down to £250 for July. Freezer is still healthy so that seems reasonable and I think i will keep an eye on my local co-op for when they sticker stuff up.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Oops, posted too soon!
What else has been happening....? Things going OK with DH's income - we've already set aside everything he needs for most of July, and fully sorted main new household budget with the start of an EF (yay!) and a vehicle saving fund (yay!) this corresponds with us starting our DMP (Boo!...but it had to be done!) Letters were sent over 10 days ago, and then first reduced payments have gone to the BIG three on Friday just gone, and I haven't heard anything from any of them!!
Aim now this month is to clear both hali CC's, and then next month put some more cash into EF's. DH has some big bills that he won't get paid for until end of Aug (bonkers 60 day payment terms!) but if we can avoid 'needing' this money it will go straight into EF's - ideally I'd like £2K between us as a minimum. I also want to start a Christmas fund, and his parents have a ruby wedding anniversary so we have to do 'something' for that.
Trying to do a little bit of survey stuff everyday and have listed some ebay stuff, but without much success. Got a load of books, but it seems you can't get much at all for books these days so not sure what i will do with those.
Already paid a little £7.33 off one of Hali cc's today. baby steps! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

So sorry about your vet bills. That must be very hard. Loving people and loving animals and caring is so expensive. You sound like you have a really good heart. I hope the rest of your billing is manageable. sending you hugs. Xxx2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
