Thanks you lovely people. (and the karma police!)

Another day dawns and things always feels brighter. DH is going down to set up and sort out the caravan as is - looks like we can get spare new door - which is the major thing and then everything else can be patched up. We may need to rewire but we were going to get all of this checked anyway so no biggie. DH can always rewire it and then get the expert in to do the checks. The most important thing is that we are OK, no-one was hurt and it's not the end of the world. It is going to cost money.

Longing for payday. The caravan incident also meant DH had to buy lunch and tea so food budget completely blown. He's also lost 2 days work this week now as a result. Not great. We will survive though.

Got a meeting with boss tomorrow about going back fulltime...lots going on at work. All a bit busy and stressful, but I am feeling pretty positive and good, and excited by some of the opportunities. Need to not get too tired and look after myself this month.

    Happier tuesday x

Our old caravan needs scapping so that's a good reminder to do this ourselves and see what we can make - might cover what we now need to spend Thanks Tori :money:

  • Ramble I love your positive attitude and your fighting spirit. I know its no consolation but you sound like you stand firm against whatever comes your way.

    I think you're quite brilliant.
Life throws crap at everyone and some of us roll over and some of us stand firm. I think you've got this sewn up. You can't control the world you can only control you and you sound like whatever life throws at you you're just going to keep on going and you are doing so well. Good luck for your journey, it can't be easy right now but you are strong and we are with you.

Ooh you lovely ladies. Logging in and reading your messages was like a huge virtual hug.
I'm doing good. Mum has been down helping to do childcare so not easy to tap away in the evenings!
Good news is that DH has gone and got the caravan set up, and has managed to mostly sort wiring issues and bodge the door so it will close. We'll need to get a new one, but at least he can make it secure and keep the damp out. He sounds much more positive, yay.

(PSL, seen you have been talking about the heat, we've had non-stop rain here today - proper weather for ducks and yesterday wasn't much better - too much sea mist!) Praying for some sunshine for the weekend!

Payday today - debts payments done. Budget all allocated into YNAB and looks like we are largely on track. Car is going in for service and MOT tomorrow - FINGERS CROSSED (one hand!) Suspicion of an oil issue, we'll have to see! Money set aside is £220. That feels vaguely positive - I would never have had money set aside before now.

Work news - LOADS going on.....first being that I have got the greenlight to go back fulltime - starting beg Oct. I'll get some small, but interesting projects to do with this extra day which will be good experience. DH will drop a day, but I think overall we will be better off as my income is more reliable. My aim is to increase my debt payment to 1% of debt/month when I started £240 - currently paying £150, not sure we will be able to do this immediately as want more in the EF's and have to tackle the DH tax bill, but perhaps from Jan? Have to see. That will give me a less than 100 month DFD and psychologically it will feel like I am making more of a difference.

All creditors have stopped interest, but I am wondering whether I should force them to default me - if you default the record of the issue stays on your credit file for 6 years and then disappears. If you don't force them to default you could have late payment / payment arrangement markers on your file until the debt is is cleared and then for a further 6 years until they drop off. So the stupid thing is, if I withhold payment for approx 3 months (and chuck the money in my EF) it may sort my credit file out sooner....could means some extra charges being added, but as they have already stopped things, may not. I'm wavering but not really sure why. I guess if we needed to use credit within 6 years, then a default is worse on file than payment arrangement markers...but if I don't this whole nightmare is gone from my credit file in 6 years regardless of whether it is paid off in full.

Other work news, have also been selected for an elite management training prog, and will be getting 1:1 coaching and extra training support to help me take next step up.

Ebay sales mostly done - only small bits and bobs but approx £40 in paypal after costs. Not sure what to spend this on - either Christmas or clothes for DD.

Off work for another week now - last one for a while. I had 39 days hol to take this year, due to mat leave, and only work 4 days a week - bonkers. Have even booked nearly a month at Christmas!

Much love to any browsers and PSL thank you for checking in on me. xxx
