Smart have always had a bad attitude problem akin to school bullies, that's from the Directors downwards.
Maybe that is why Asda sacked them
And took on ParkingEye as replacement. From Poodle to Rottweiler. Go figure!
Signage even comes in Asda corporate colours - photo sent to me by an 'interested observer' (we have them everywhere, isn't the Internet wonderful)!
Oddly enough, despite their rapaciousness, I don't think PE would have let this case get this far, subjecting a hugely vulnerable lady to suffer such unnecessary distress and torment - shame on you Smart! There's at least some degree of grey matter in Chorley - but all relative, I guess.
I notice that Smart have yet to come up with any offer as atonement. Hello ..... Smart, are you there? We're listening and watching........!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I am so glad the Prankster has got this cancelled! We look forward to seeing a news story which doesn't praise Smart Parking for cancelling it - they needed to do that immediately at appeal stage and their refusal to cancel it earlier was discriminatory
I've got a feeling that there will be some quite honest, and widespread reporting about this.Illegitimi non carborundum:)0 -
If there is any reporting the focus should be on Britanic/fistral for allowing smart to operate on the car park, as well as the unsuitability of anpr camerasFrom the Plain Language Commission:

As usual, Smart Parking (or any other PPC for that matter when contacted by the Press) were unavailable for comment.
Utter cowards and speaks volumes for their despicable business and particularly their attitude in this case.

Hi Stacey, another couple of local Newquay people have now offered to chip in towards the original charge.
I've told them that Pranky has had it dropped☺
There's a lady from our local radio station, Rachel, who may wish to talk to you (I think she may want permission to use your photos for their website) if thats okay ?

Stacey, if the Prankster said it will be cancelled, it will be, shame on SMART for letting this drag on ..... the only appeal to be made is to the DVLA to get this scum banned.
It will not come to anything, Smart have been caught out and don't like it, tell the prankster please0 -
