what would you do- hate our house and neighbours

bit background re me and my partner we took on an ex council house in well a crap area back in 2007 just before the schizer hit the fan with the financial crash. We took on a 3 year 100 percent mortgage back in the days when 3 year 100percent mortgages were avaliable. Our plan was buy an ex council house then spend 3 years doing it up then sell it at a minor profit and buy somewhere bigger nicer area etc.

Everything went brill till 2008, when the neighbours from hell went from 3 kids too 4 then in 2009 5 kids. Usual story he work ie the dad the mam keeps a job five mins then gets sacked. I am at the end of my tether in the past week we have had too deal with 3 barbaques music blasting noon till night. They live in there flipping kitchen which backs onto our lounge. They smoke so much dope my house stinks of it. They dont talk too each other all they do is bawl and shout, i was on nights last night and 4 times got woken up by loud music blasting. We had there kids with a catapult and tongs flicking hot barbaque charcoals over our fence last weekend as our dogs were outside.

We have had months and months of this from the minute it starts getting warm its open season with the chav neighbours.

We are in a crap situation as we bought this place for 83000 in 07 its now worth probably 70 it has damp as the rear finlock gutters are knackered. Me and my partner took the mortgage on with a high lending fee so we borrowed 85000 we are down too 70400 remaining on our mortgage. A second issue we have is we both have debts of of 25000-30000 between us, i doubt we will be able too move.

I am so sick i was even tempted too contact one of them crap companies that buy your house but my other half talked me outta it.

Sorry guys rant over and i apologise for using inappropriate language.

But after 4 nights in a call centre doing 10hour shifts all i want too do is on my days off come home spend time with me other half/dogs and not constantly be sitting in my lounge thinking i really wise my neighbours would get terminal cancer.

I am divorced and my son was up at half term 4 4 days and in those 4 days 3 of them were ruined my music dinner time till 10pm. Me and my boy did go out each day but coming home too chill in front of the tv didnt happen.

Could you afford to rent elsewhere and get tenants for your house, paying enough rent to cover the mortgage etc ?

we could afford too but the issue is we have 5 dogs not landlords will accept tennants with dogs ie the reason we bought this is the garden size. We have a huge dog run in our garden but our guys are spending more and more time indoors

I have chatted with my other half and i think if in the next week things dont improve the council and social services are gunna get a call.

The mother next door seems too get pregnant everytime one of her kids get too school age, benefit and not working related definetly.

our mortgage is 425 pm i am paying 500 pm off too try and build up equity so if we ever do move we can have a big lump too put down on the new place.

rental income we could easy get 500

i need about 2000-2500 too get this in a saleable nick i think. I dont know where i would stand selling and trying too get a new mortgage on a different property when me and the wife are on debt management plans?? If not i think i am gunna go nuts if i stay here long term

You don't say if you've tried to talk to your neighbours? If not this is definitely the first step. Some people genuinely don't realise that they are annoying others. For example, they may not realise noise in the day time is an issue as they may not know you work nights.
You might also want to have an objective think about what's reasonable for you to have an issue with and what they should be expected to change beforehand. For example, with 5 kids, daytime noise would be expected, but throwing coals into your garden would definitely not.
At the moment your resentment of them for not working, getting free repairs, having lots of kids etc, which you can do nothing about, is getting a bit blurred with the issues of their genuinely unacceptable behaviour, and could lessen the impact of your complaints if you don't tone that down.
In any approach, either to them or if escalating to the council, stick to what you would like them to change, that is reasonable to expect, e.g., no noise after 11pm, no drugs where it can drift into your house etc. That way you sound more reasonable and likely to be taken seriously.
It might also be worth asking if other neighbours are affected, as if you do go formal a group complaint may have more impact.
On a cautionary note, and please don't take this the wrong way, your 5 dogs and dog run may give your neighbours ammunition for a retaliatory complaint about barking, smells, animals left while you're at work; and true or not, before you know it, you've got all out war between you. Another reason why an amicable resolve would be best if at all possible.
If you make a formal complaint, the usual advice is gather evidence, record noise, keep a diary, photographs of damage, call the police if a crime is committed, and get a ref number.
    Best of luck.

Im not really sure what you mean? You chose to buy a house with all the financial implications that involves and you are both heavily in debt. Your neighbours are renting from a landlord. It is not the tenants responsibility for any of those things you mentioned, neither would it be if they were privately renting or renting from a HA.

Dont get me wrong your neighbours dont sound pleasant but then again neither do you or your attitude
Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.

Don't make any complaint if I were you. You'll need to declare this when you come to sell, (and how much is your house going to be worth then.)
