Iresa are a sack of **** .... Tried to switch away to Bulb Energy. Received an email this morning "sorry you're leaving" all fine. Then 15 minutes later another email they have "denied the switch as I'm in debt".

Logged in and the gas is £30 in 'debt' but my electric is £95 in credit. So you would think logic would dictate, but no... Absolute morons now I have to suffer 45 minute wait time to hopefully speak to someone. Started at 57 in the queue. Fantastic.

EDIT: You have got to be joking... Went from 59 to 18 in the queue after 30 minutes and the call has just dropped?

EDIT 2: Wow another 50 minute started at 57 again to be answered... Credit to the poor lad on the phone, he moved the credit straight away and apologised for the wait and mess up. But it's not his fault so couldn't lay into him.

Now I have to redo my switch order to Bulb...

The supplier had no legal right to block your switch as you were not in debt. You had a debit balance that would have been ‘payable’ once your Final Bill was raised.

Not really much I can do about it now though, I guess? They sorted it after 1.5 hours in the queue... Well *touch wood anyway* now Bulb have to wait for the rejection to hit their system from Iresa - then they can reapply the switch their end.

I did think that's what happened the last 3 times I have switched energy supplier (usually they owe me!.. So why have Iresa got this ridiculous feature in place? I guess that's why the founder is a software engineer - amateur...

Just switched to One Direct so will wait and see if problems arise with underestimated gas usage.

Should Iresa have informed us that the Flex 4 fix is coming to an end? Mine ends on 12 March and my calculations say they should have informed us by 29th Jan at the latest.

I was informed by email earlier this week regards the electric supply and end of last week regards the gas as the fix started 3 days apart.

Still no reply from Iresa regards my request to pay the amount underpaid on my gas bill.

I had an email on 13th Jan for a contract period ending 3rd March.:)

Still only OutFoxthemarket beats IRESA Flex5 for me -and only by £30pa so guess I'll be staying despite my doubts about the company's long term future.

Anybody with Iresa for gas? Have you had a "Customer own read" online meter read since 1st Dec 2017?
