Would you keep a animal in a unsuitable enclosure for 3 weeks until he can correct his mistake.
Which is suitable for a snake 10x smaller than it?

Pretty sure that would be animal cruelty.

Would you accept an animal ten times bigger than the one you were expecting - knowing that you didn't have a suitable enclosure?

I know nothing about buying and selling snakes, but the seller (or breeder?) will have surely spent more time raising the thing since presumably the one you received is older.

I can see now why you are happy to keep the one that was delivered to you by mistake. ;)

Surely you would be duty bound to point out to the carrier at the time of delivery that the delivered snake wasn't the one you ordered?
Or do snake couriers leave their consignments in the nearest wheelie-bin if the door isn't answered - like other couriers?

I asked for it to get delivered to my girlfriends house where I live. Unfortunately I found out that the date is was getting delivered (2 weeks in advanced) that I was working. I contacted the courier and changed the delivery address to my place of work. He agreed yet still delivered it to my girlfriends house where her dad collected it and signed for it. He didn't know anything about it as I was expecting to get it delivered to my place of work. So I only realised later on when I collected it.

I'm sure the person who bought Snake B wants their snake.

Its not your snake. Sorry. The fact you bought an enclosure doesnt matter. You clearly like snakes and want a big one (as you like the look of this one), so you can use it either now or in the future.

You: Mr Courier, this isn't the snake I ordered
Courier: Sorry Mr 7_Sire, I'll just get the correct one from the van

The courier can then go and deliver Snake B to its correct purchaser, as such there would be no need to keep hold of it for 3 weeks.

You did check the snake in the presence of the delivery driver? Im guessing so as you have already mentioned about illness/death in transit.

Edit - Cross posted, just read your post about delivery above.

Please read a few posts above where I explain the delivery location issue. Cheers

Did you contact the courier/seller straight away? If not, how long did you leave it?
