Money disappearing from Halifax account

Hi all. Got a very weird thing happening with my Halifax Ultimate Reward account. About three weeks ago I logged in like I do every morning and compared my balance and transactions to my MoneyWiz app and noticed my account balance was down £200, even though they were in sync the day before and there was no new transaction. I waited a few days for a transaction to show up but nothing ever did. I checked every transaction for the last month, and everything matched perfectly. So assuming I was just being stupid and missing something, I manually adjusted my MoneyWiz balance.
Logged in this morning, same thing has happened again. My balance is down £200 on yesterday, the running total for every transaction is down £200 (£400 on ones from before the last time it happened), but there are no new transactions anywhere.
Does anyone have any experience of this? Because my running balance has been adjusted down going back as well I don't see what I can do beyond take a screenshot of my balance/transactions every day until the next time it happens, but this is very worrying.

Budgeting app. I use it for tracking and categorising all my transactions.
Logging into Halifax tells me my balance is £200 less than it was yesterday with no transaction to explain it, which is exactly what happened last month.0 -
You should be querying this with the bank, you seem to rely on your app more than the bank statement.0

When you log into Halifax... are you looking simply at the current balance or are you looking at the list of transactions?
You need to review the transactions. You should be able to reconcile the balances from one statement to another. and all the transactions within a statement should reconcile the closing balance to the opening balance.0 -

Both. They don't close statements anymore, it's just one continuous transaction list going back however long. I check all my transactions daily and the balance on the account.
I'll go in and ask them to look into it, or at least give me a full statement history for the lifetime of the account. Online it only gives me a few years' worth.0 -
When did the Halifax and MoneyWiz reconciled balances last match? From that point forwards you should be able to see how each updated balance has been calculated: the only possible explanations are that you have failed to record one or more transactions in your MoneyWiz records, or there has been a calculation error by either MoneyWiz or Halifax. My money would be on missing transactions but a bit of investigation should reveal where the error is.0

Look at the date you think the first money disappeared on and manually add and subtract credits and debits from the balance to see if it corresponds to the final balance. If it is still 400 less than contact your bank.0

I had a similar issue (albeit with Interactive Investor share trading). A dividend transaction dated March 2015 vanished and then *two* identical, spurious dividends dated August 2015 and November 2015 appeared.
I noticed the discrepancy between my available balance and the rolling statement balance earlier this year and assumed it was *recent* issue.
It was only by comparing the current transaction list from January 2015 against the screen shots I had taken at regular intervals over the last 18 months that I was able to explain the discrepancy. (It's a known issue that they're investigating)0 -

Is that the only issue you've had with iii, the long running thread on these boards indicates many people have suffered worse.0 -
the statement should state every transaction and what is causing the balance to change.
make sure when you log on you are not doing it via a shortcut. Even try a different device but wherever you log in make sure you type the website into the address bar directly.
If that still doesn't correspond then ring the bank and ask them if they will go through your most recent transactions with you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
