Poohbear, the universities will be off now until september so you might not hear anything until then.

My favourite survey site is OnePoll. There are up to 6 mini-surveys per day, each paying from 5p - 20p. You just do what is there any time you log on. Those of you with smart phones can presumably do them that way - I only have a pc.
Payout is at the £40 level and takes about a month to arrive as bank transfer or PayPal.

The advantage with this site is that you just do the surveys as and when. You don't have to log on every day and the money stays safely there until you've amassed enough for payout. Obviously, as with all surveys, you can be screened out, but if you find the time to dip in a couple of times a day, maybe during lunch or TV ads, it can mount up quite well.

Thank you for the reminder beanie. I always remember in the evening when they are closed. Today I saw your message and phoned at 9am. They are going to phone back later.
Elizabeth I will send you a pm later.

Ali-t . How did I forget universities close for the summer?
It isn't so very long since I was a mature student

I am going out with a friend. We are both living a very frugal life so I don't expect it will cost me much. Hopefully the bank manager will talk to Mr P.

Yesterday I spent hours trying to get some help for DS2 who has taken a turn for the worse. Hopefully someone will come out today. It makes me sad to see him like this.

Yesterday I did lots of surveys not enough for a payout yet but accumulating a little. I also listed more random things on 3bay. If it doesn't move I will sell it. In other words I won't sell Mr P or DS2 or the animals. Everything else can go. I asked Mr P to see if he can find tools or old broken things to list.

This is a post I didn't expect to be writing.

In the post this morning we received a cheque from Smile bank for £359.51

It is because we had a loan with them and they didn't follow CCA guidelines to do with interest and charges.

I will put it in the bank today and transfer to our wedding savings once it has cleared.

  • I know it's more of a longer term thing but you said you sell on eBay anyway, I sold some bottle lids and empty toilet roll inners before, people buy them for crafts and though they only sell for £5-8 every little helps if you save them up and sell like in 50's

Yes, that's great news about the cheque, Mrs P :j
I bet it made you smile!
(Did you see what I did there? :p )

And Glittery.... I'm surprised people buy empty toilet rolls! What about other cardboard, like from tubes of toothpaste?
Also makes me wonder whether anyone buys banana skins or satsuma peel!
  • Dave 2319
I know I was shocked too. I only found out about it because everytime I buy something I look and see what else the seller is selling lol. And this lady had 50 empty toilet rolls for £8.99. People must buy them for gardening. I've got 5 kids and I'm sure at least 2 must eat toilet roll on a daily basis :rotfl: I looked today at the sold ones and 250 sold for £25!! I suppose one mans rubbish really is another's treasure. They might do lol have a look in the sold ones.
