Thank you beanie, DS2 had a night out with DB and walked the 4.5 miles back home some time during the early hours.... He seems to have a little more hope. He has an incomplete ESA form which should have been in by early June. Hopefully between us all (DD has offered to help one night) we can help him to get it in.
Thank you for 'unlurking' katykicker. Mr P is now expecting other companies to get in touch and send cheques but I think he is being a little optimistic.
I need to check the lucky phone website as I had a match of some numbers but hadn't realised i needed to check daily. I am still learning...
One more sale on ebay of £4 has increased my savings a little more.
I use https://www.bookiebashing.net where they have instructional videos to walk you through everything. Same as the forum on here except its so much easier when you can see what the guy is doing rather than read walls of text.
I made £3000 on the weekend by following their advice - although I won't lie, in order to do that I had to tie up a very large amount of money when hedging the bets, so that particular opportunity may not have been best suited for you. Best of luck:beer:

I haven't posted recently as I haven't had much to report.
We have found cheap flights to New York. As soon as we have all the money in the bank I will buy them. Then the next stage will be saving up for internal flights to New Mexico.
I have offered to help with the wedding preparations and will probably make some bouquets, table decorations, and buy fabric to make big bows on plain chairs to help keep costs down for my son and wife. They are giving me money to pay for materials and I will ask some friends for help.
On Sunday I made £16 on eBay. But it is added to the total.
I have continued doing surveys when my hands allow me
The other thing we have to contend with now is that the dollar to the pound exchange rate is not so good. I am really hoping it will improve before October.
Nothing ready to claim yet but slowly increasing.
Total now is £706business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Did you ever hear if you could have a mortgage holiday?
I did found out about our mortgage beanie.
Because we have a commercial mortgage (I didn't know it is a commercial mortgage), we are not allowed a payment holiday but what they can offer is for us to pay interest only if we are unable to pay the full amount. The repayment amounts are then added to our mortgage debt and we then have to pay extra each month to cover the shortfall. Mr P said I should have asked how much our payments would then go up to and also if it would affect our credit score: which is pretty abysmal already.
My offspring do give us challenges. I know we could stay at home and not travel to the USA for the wedding or go just for the wedding and come straight home. But we have had some pretty hefty challenges in the past and not only survived them but come out of the other end stronger and more knowledgeable. Family is really all to me. I want to spend time with them. Fancy, we could all be together if DS1 can get the time off work...
Another idea I have had......
I could sell my car..........Mr P's car sale fell through
We also have some pictures we inherited.....they might not be worth much but could give us a little boost. I am very aware that we are getting closer to the date and are still a long way off.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I know what you mean.
My DS is everything to me.
I would do everything in my power to help him if I could.
We may not see eye to eye but we are family.

We received our RHI today so I have moved £500 into the holiday fund. I almost bought flights to NYork last night at £330 direct from Manchester but DS2 persuaded me to wait until I have spoken to a travel agent.
So today I will speak to an independent travel agent and see if I can fly to Albuquerque for the wedding then back to New York to see DS2 and his wife.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Good news on the RHI,I think that I would have had to buy the flights at that price!!!!!I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Yes, 330 sounds like a great price! Just did a search through cheapflights.co.uk (for random dates in October!) and it came up with 425. (Direct, return and per person.)
I suppose it depends what your best route is though and what prices you manage to find for them.
I think it's interesting you've found prices that are notably cheaper than a supposedly cheap flights site though. So, if we're allowed to post such things, it could be useful if you can tell us where you got these cheaper prices, for anyone else who likes to book flights. Or that wants to come to your son's wedding0
