Did you see what we were saying about Swagbucks, Mrs P?
Obviously another 5 or 25 quid a month won't greatly add to your holiday funds (although it's extra money afterwards as well of course) so just trying to think of other ideas besides you selling stuff.
All I can really think of, without asking loads of questions, is reading through all the guides and articles on the main site again, even if you've already seen them before!
A bit like looking through cupboards, you never know what you might find, perhaps?!0 -
THank you Dave. We have had intermittent line faults so have read up when I can. I have been working my way through Swagbucks thread and familiarising myself with all the different ways to gain points.
You are right, I am finding things I missed last time I read it. I am up to 1300 points on SB and I am almost up to enough for another pay out from Prolific Academic too.
I listed more to sell online yesterday. Not holding out much hope but you never know.
Our son is going to drive us to the airport as he leaves here a few days after us. So we are saving a lot on airport parking. We have a voucher to use for an airport lounge which will save on cups of tea and coffee in the airport.
DD is contacting everyone for whom I have organised accommodation and is collecting what they owe so it can be paid as soon as we arrive. The company took my card details and DD is making sure I don't lose out at all.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Sounding good pooh...hope sales come good. I haven't been able to face Bay of E for a while, but should try rather than simply offloading to the CS and giving it away to neighboursMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I haven't been around much as we have been having major internet problems. Despite paying for two completely different systems. B err
I have an exiting update. ......... My stepsister found an old bank account belonging to my late father and shared the money out equally between all eight of us. I can't say how much it is but it takes the pressure off a bit. Thank you Dad:A
I have put the money away so we don't touch it and are still on track spending less and making pennies where we can. I am thinking of SORN for the pick up for two months but not sure if it is allowed.
Yesterday I bought my dress for the wedding. It cost me £29. Not bad for mother of the groom. It was £139, I think. Must check. When the shopkeeper heard me say 'mother of the groom' to my friend then the expensive bags and hats and fascinators came out. We declined graciously.
I also sold two tops on 3bay for a total of £3.49. Total now made is £1462
Claim has been made for mortgage fees of £100 and an old building society account which shows £7.50 balance. Still nothing from Scottish power.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Isn't it wonderful when family no longer with us are still giving joy ? That will make such a difference to you, and I'm sure your father would have been delighted to know he could still help his family.0 -
Brilliant news of the present from your dad. That's great. A real boost and I am sure he'd have been thrilled it will be used to help get you to his grandsons wedding.
Hope alls well with you and yours xxMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I think we have our internet sorted again. The engineer said that they expect to be back again in a few months. It was water damage which is what I told them in the first place. 15 phone calls later a.d it is done
Finances..... another £10 from prolific to boost the coffers.
I spent it on fabric, beads, pins, bouquet holders. I am making fabric flowers with help from friends and family. They will be used for bridesmaids bouquets, buttonholes and corsages. I said we were frugal. Bride to be is using DD's bouquet which is fabric and beads. Bouquets can then go on the tables as table centres. I have the happy couple decorating jam jars for the bouquets.
For DS1' s wedding in US I just had to hand over money for the flowers. It was stupidly expensive. At knit and natter the women said I should go to local shop and buy flowers. They don't understand. Some of the flowers will be made using the bride's dress which I shortened considerably.
