Morning All,
My PAD today is £50 to the Bank of Dad please Jet9cat
And yes, Dizzy Imps, it is very refreshing not to be judged about your finances & MH. As often, close friends and family can usually be the most critical, which can make the struggle all the more isolating...:(
I'm on my last week of employment:eek:, so getting scared about no income, but I am determined to do a big PAD with my redundancy pay and then very small ones so that I keep chipping away at it. I wish I'd discovered this website and thread years ago, but better late than never :T.
Have a good day everyone.
Keedie,

I had the most fabulous day at the cricket yesterday, spent quality time with family, got plenty of sunshine, and watched a fantastic days play with England doing really well. I'd love to see more live cricket rather than relying on Sky but not until these debts are gone.
So my PAD today is £26.70
and yesterday's brilliant total is £525.56Every penny's a prisoner

Kirsty -I bet you can't wait to get rid of that loan, what a wonderful feeling that will be, it's so great when you get to your goal. Roll on 2nd Aug, then we'll need Erme with a dancing llama or some virtual cake for you to celebrate.
Argh yes....Must bung this on my calendar - Kirsty - let me know what you would like? Llama or virtual cake?White-as-Snow wrote: »Woop zero balance on Smallwoodsaccount! :j
My PAD for the day £28.65 going to the woods account and the rest on a CC
white again - your choice of virtual goodie for this milestone :money: for now I just have :santa2: cos my head was on this planet at 4 am but now it needs an espresso LOLHi All,
Hope you're all enjoying the nice weather.
Erme - it's really hard, and every day is a struggle. I still spend way more than I should do, but I have been trying to find cheaper alternatives to things. I've seen the speed in which my debts are going down through being a PADington member, nearly £900 cleared since the beginning of the month. I had a few people pay me back from little loans and instead of spending it, I paid my debts so that I could declare my pads. But the days when I don't feel stable enough to be in charge of my finances, I just accept them and if I have overspent, I just try not to get too upset about it. I have set up a basic bank account, as it has no monthly fees or overdraft facility. So I cannot get stung that way. And my sisters can tell when I'm starting to slip, and they question me or try and talk me out of big expenses. I wouldn't be able to follow a debt management plan, so I have not even considered it as an option. When I feel too restricted, my mood spirals and I will end up boosting my mood through shopping or going out to restaurants etc.
Keedie,
xx
I only discovered restaurants last year LOL:rotfl: but that has been curtailed since this years 'treat of the year' which I shall DV get in autumn and have been squirrelling since March. Never mind all the other stuff that being disabled flings at you!
Being parented by well meaning seniors wasn't always fab when in debt. I couldn't see where there were coming from and we just clashed (and often they were down right rude!!!) but still. Sounds like you have good support money wise and yeah, padding really helps as there's just no judgement :A - you have a whoopsie - ok - today's a new day - how can we help you stop chastising yourself and get back to debt busting. - That's what this thread does.....(och and renew your friendship with your spreadsheet cos it's lonely LOL).
So yeah great news on the £900. and if it's only half of that next month or none at all we are here for you
