If I had 20k in a bank and a business, No offense people.... But I certainly wouldn't be coming here for advice, If someone has all that money and business etc you would be in the branch talking to the branch manager and would be well known to the local branch...

TSB don't send emails to customers informing them of security matters. If the OP has the right documentation it shouldn't be hard to fix...

    That's what the woman said.

I am also not allowed to talk direct to the department involved.

    How do I pay anyone?

Perhaps you have multiple accounts stuffed full, I just had the one, now its all gone.

Next time I call them, I'll record it and upload it to youtube, then you can hear the sorry saga for yourself.

If you have an Android phone download Call recorder from Play store...its free and records all calls (unless you edit what to record) bloody brilliant bit of kit.

Amount of times ive proven a company has changed its story or simply lied through its teeth is scary.

I agree. I think there is more to this story than we are being told.

First I knew of this was at 4:30pm yesterday.

Off to the bank this morning, I don't imagine they are going to be any help though, 45 minute phone call yesterday led to nowhere.
Net result is that I have lost everything, business finished, no money, the end.

So you were advised of this two days ago and you've already lost your business?

Have seen OP on other boards on here and he seems to be a decent guy as far as it is ever possible to tell over the Internet.

Hope you get it sorted OP.

    "Community fraud"?

I wonder has the OP sold an item through e-bay? The buyer for some reason has tried to recall the payment, alleging that the OP has hacked the buyer's account?

This could be an attempt at fraud/ a malicious allegation by the buyer and if so, it is very hard on the OP and his frustration is understandable.

He needs to give TSB whatever documentation they need to demonstrate his good faith.

I was not aware of any problems with the payment or sale, looking at the transaction, its from a third party, dunno of that muddies the water or not, I don't run a cash business, so have no worries there.

I may be reading this wrong but it seems that you accepted an order from one person, with payment being made by bank transfer from a different person.

It is possible that it is the buyer who has hacked the bank account that the money has come from. All the person from whose account the payment was made knows is that money has left his account and ended up in yours.

Of course his suspicions will initially be that it is you who has hacked his account. You should have the records to tie the money received to a sale along with full details of the buyer and the address to which the goods were shipped, so should hopefully be able to convince the bank that you are not the fraudster, nor complicit in the fraud.

Who suggested payment by bank transfer rather than paypal etc? Is this your normal way of taking payment or was this a one off?

Community banking deal with beneficiary fraud.

I was about to say this sounds like a case where the OP has had beneficiary blocks placed on his account - reason being that TSB will have received a report stating that the £20 transfer into his account is fraud.
