Thank you all for your comments. I will be back later to answer each one individually but at the moment I have so much to do after a day of movement yesterday.

my decluttering challenge has been going on for such a long time I was beginning to think it was never going to end. I couldn't really see the light at the end of the tunnel. Anyway over the past few weeks Dh has been talking about getting jobs done on the house and possibly putting all his DVDs, and there are many, into plastic sleeves to help sort them out. Well yesterday then happened. DH cleared out the wires draw. Then continued with the waxing of the TV cabinet. What a boost it gave me having him on board.

I'm not going to list all my plans today but my first job is getting rid of most of my fabric stash. It's been stored for years and smells very musty. I have washed and washed some but the smell is still there. So it has to go. There, it's said.

I'm also going to attack the kitchen and freezers. Yesterday I stuck the front of one draw back on. I need to find the other and stick that on. They may not be working draws but they look ok.

Finally last night was disaterous. DS came into my bed and promptly threw up. So duvet changed, son cleaned up and the an hour later he peed the bed. I bet you can imagine the washing mountain I now have. Please weather keep dry.

Right off I go. I have two days before going back to work. :(

oh no for the washing, hope DS is ok.

Hurrah for DH doing stuff, we are (hopefully) spending this weekend moving stuff for my OH and he has promised to be ruthless.

He is fine thanks. One of those random throw up once things.

I'm pooped. I have got rid of loads of musty fabric, taken two bags of stuff to the charity shop and spent the rest of the day putting dvds into small plastic wallets with DH, 280 so far wirh loads left to go. I have bags and bags of platic covers and paper sleeves to go to the tip recycling, but oh the space which it has created.:j:j:j

That's brilliant parsnip. I really struggle with decluttering and thoroughly admire those who have had clutter and managed to overcome it.

Brilliant progress re the DVDs. It must be great to reclaim space and get so much out.

I decluttered 2 dresses. One I got in a charity shop 3 years ago and wear to work so much I am sick of looking at it. The other rides up, so both are now gone. They did not take up physical space so much as emotional space if that makes sense?

    Have a lovely Sunday :)

    Thanks Cherry and DIA.

We finished with the DVDs just before lunch today and filled approximately 320 plastic wallets. about 10 of them were mine and the rest were DH's.:eek:. Now I have two paper recycling bags stuffed with covers and six black bin bags of plastic dvd cases to go to the tip. Feels good though, so good, and the DVDs now all fit on two shelves. :j

Tonight I have finally completed the online PPI complaint form for my current mortgage. So that this one and the one sent last week for the old mortgage. I have absolutely everything crossed. If I did get a payout I believe it would completely pay off all my debt, apart from the mortgage and the car. Oh to be in that situation would be wonderful.

Tomorrow I go back to work as it the colleges sign up weeks. I did set my self some challenges with levels of success and lesser success. I didn't pay of all my debt but I did continue to hit it BUT the biggest thing I did was to finally get an emergency fund together. I'm still short of the £1000 but I never imagined I would have this.:j

DH is off for the next two weeks looking after DS but I may stick to my 5am get ups to see what I can achieve in that time. We have the party on Saturday and the house is still . I would have put :eek:, but differences are beginning to appear.

Other good news is that I have passed my probationary at work and should, fingers crossed, be getting a pay rise. Whatever amount it is I'm not acknowledging it and it will go straight to debt payments/Emergency savings. I will continue to budget to the salary I get now.

Right time for some relaxation. I feel a mass catch up on the diarys. I read way, way too many but I like it.

Have a good week ahead, I hope it's productive. X

Well done on the brewing. I love real ale and home brew. I should have been a bloke with a beard and wooly jumper. DH used to do his own wine but got discouraged after a bad batch. It was surprisingly easy. Unfortunately I don't like wine. You have ignited the interest in beer again though. I may have a go...my own brewery in the cellar.
