Hi Kim, please try not to worry, you have time and you will find something. As to your budget, if anyone can make it work, you can. Please try to enjoy this time with your new little one... you will not get it back, whereas you have the rest of your life to worry about money.
Thinking of you. S xxx0 -
Hi Kim. I've been back at work full-time for a couple of months now, so haven't been keeping up as much. Just has a slight look through. Congratulations on the baby.
That is rubbish about the house. I really dislike the way this can happen. The house I lived in for the first 5 years of my life was a private rental. My Grandparents rented it for 18 years and only left when it became unsuitable for my Grandfathers health after he had a stroke. It's rare to hear of that sort of long term private rental nowadays.
How big a place do you have now and how many bedrooms do the council say you need? I had a quick look through your housing thread. I see B & B has been mentioned. Maybe it's not the same all over the country but I thought that meant everyone in the same room? Unless they intend giving you a penthouse suite hahaha (fingers crossed eh:D) there's no way in the world they're going to fit 9 of you in one room and I can't see them giving you more than one bedroom in a B & B considering your eldest is only 11. When we've stayed in hotels holidaying the rules have been aged 12 to be in a room on their own and that would still leave 8 in one room! This is just my opinion though, it's not based on anything I actually know.
Don't worry about the money. Peaks and troughs come in everyones life.
Are you sorted for back to school? I'm happy I got 3 school shirts for DD at £1.60 each. Not so happy for the BHS staff where I bought them from losing their jobs. Made extra sad because that was my first paid employment as a Saturday girl on their food counter.0 -
Hi all, sorry ive been so absent, I just don't seem to ever have the time to come on here with a newborn.
I'm constantly shattered and/or feeding the baby and I have to sneak in laptop time when I can, whichis far and few between at the moment.
Baby boy is doing fab! hes putting on weight and seems content, has hearing screening tomorrow and then we are being discharged by the midwife on Monday.
I am still super tearful and finding it hard but hopefully the meds will be upped this week and in a few week my mood should get a bit better.
NSD for the last 2 days, I need to do an online shop for Friday delivery as we are fresh out of staples in the cupboard and I need to mealplan again, ive really relaxed the meal planning immediately post birth but I need to crack the whip now and press on paying off debt and saving for mine and the kids future.
hope everyone is well,
(waves to mila and smod)

Oh sweet girl I hate the hormone thing! Hopefully that will be sorted sooner rather than later. Is babyboy eating every two hours or so? Saying prayers for your stamina!!!!
Yes, you will feel better getting your online shop order done and having a meal plan in place. Getting back in control of daily stuff always helps.
When does school start? Hoping for a great day for you all tomorrow!
My DH and I were in Albuquerque for 4 days and I've been offline. He needs surgery on an encased ulnar nerve that is affecting his right hand. We saw a hand/elbow surgeon on Monday. He has to have a few tests run and the earliest appointment for one is mid Nov. I've checked in two different towns. Sheesh!
We stayed with DD1 and her family. Went to the 95th annual Indian Market in Santa Fe.

Hello Kim! Hi, Mila!
Kim, you are an amazing person. Do not many new mums become tearful? I do hope you are not beating yourself up over this. I imagine you will be extremely tired for some time but that things will gradually get easier. You do not owe us updates, for goodness' sake, but are never far from my (and, I am sure, our) thoughts. All will work itself out, over time.
Mila, how are you? Any news on your floor, yet?
Is it actually called the Indian market? I thought that was un-PC, nowadays. I hope your OH's arm/hand is well again, soon. That sounds like a long wait for an appointment... probably still quicker than the NHS, though; what do you think, Kim?
I look forward to more words from you both at your convenience... and I have missed you.

Very sorry if this falls flat, trying to raise a little smile.

HI MILA!!!!
:j:j:j:j:j
we have missed you.
:Dschool is back in 2 weeks and counting!!!! we are all beginning to do each others heads in now and I know the kids are keen to see all their friends and get back to our usual routine.
:obaby boy is feeding every 2-3 hours for 30-40 mins, he has both boobs the greedy so and so but is piling on weight and is over 7lb already. he feeds more frequently in the evening but tends to dream feed and we both just fall happily back to sleep between feeds. we are currently attachment parenting/ safe co sleeping and that seems to be working well for us.
:(sorry to hear about your husbands hand, it must be terribly painful to have a trapped nerve. That waiting time is good by NHS standards but ours is also free and probably in the same town, I feel for you guys, it must cost a small fortune for all the meds, treatment and travel you have to do if one of you is sick or injured.glad u had a fab time with your grand daughter, does she live far from you and dh??

Once upon a time, the sound of cockerels was a perfectly normal, natural alarm clock. I have far more issues with human noises than I do with natural ones, myself. To each, her own, I guess. I wonder how the cockerel is surviving if he does not have a home... I just hope he has not fallen on hard times and still has a feather to fly with.0
