We had burgers and fries with little flags on cocktail sticks- I then explained what 4th July meant to the kids. They were fascinated and my boy has now asked what we're doing for thanksgiving! Lol
The main holiday we don't celebrate is Halloween and we keep Christmas about Jesus and open a few gifts but I don't go mad. We love birthdays more and I think that's great as its celebrating birth and life and new beginnings.
My friend is having a divorce party! Is that a thing now??

    Hi Kim, Mila, all,

    How's everybody doin'?

Well done with the shoes, Kim, you go, girl! :j

I believe divorce parties are a thing now; I thought this was yet something else for which Americans were to be given the credit but may be mistaken in this belief.

Yee-hah! Been keeping that in all day... and I don't know any more of your anthem without looking it up... apparently, neither did Christina at whichever Superbowl. :D

Oh say can you seeeeeeee, :D:D:D:D
This thread is going to seem complexly bonkers to anyone who hasn't been following it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I'm shattered and in bed but I've got such restless legs and I'm so tired I'm almost too tired to shut down! Kids last day at nursery on Friday so I'm busy getting all sorted for that, I have scan on Friday and midwife on Tuesday, I realllllllly want to have my baby at home. I hate hospitals. :p
I'm just researching now and thinking about a pool to deliver wee man in.
A lovely lady I know has let me borrow a bassinet/ Moses basket for baby which is fab as it will save me a small fortune. I have everything I need now except a stockpile of breastpads and sanitary pads! Getting a pack per week until I have enough. I have a mooncup usually when I get lady week some I never have stuff like that in the house unless I've had a baby :D
My lovely friend has made me some cloth wet wipes and breastpads too to save me some pennies. If I team that with my terry nappies and cloth nappies I should be quids in!

Today has not been a good day- I shouted ( actually screamed) at the kids on the way home Setting off horrendous braxton hicks! My own fault for being shouty mummy I suppose. The littl'es have driven me completely bonkers today by not doing as they are told, prating around and just being generally irritating! Ive not coped very well and my dd 6 said to me 'do you have to shout mummy I don't like that noises mouth'
I feel terrible but I know it's because I'm just so exhausted. Off to dentist first thing tomorrow, yippee we finally have our nhs dentist!!!

Kim, amazing as you are, you are still human. No-one can be perfect all the time and you are doing this on your own, after all. Cut yourself some slack, pregnant lady!

Respect, please chill and sleep well.

Oh my gosh I can't tell you the number of time I wanted to run down the road screaming! I also wanted to run away sometimes too. But then I'd return to my senses and realize it was me and only me in charge and I had to shape up and get on with things. (I did just experience traumatic flashbacks when reading your post though  )

    its so tough isn't it??
the people walking past must have though '!!!!!! give the kid a break' but after an entire day of my almost 5 year old being totally defiant and laughing in my face when I disciplined him I just cracked. I think I swore in my rage too!
This morning has been far better, 6 of the 7 kids (eldest was on trip to her new secondary school) had the dentist and he said how fab my kids teeth are.
Its moments like that when I feel so proud and think 'yeah universe- check that out, 7 kids all with well looked after teeth'.
dd9 is looking like she will need braces as she has too many teeth for her teeny mouth but cleanliness wise he said they are all perfect.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Ill just go dust off my halo:A that's been packed away after yesterday :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
At home now chilling out with some peppa pig on the electronic babysitter while a prep a lasagne for dinner tonight. I bought turkey mince too for this as its healthier and loads cheaper than beef mince.
I cant believe my eldest is at secondary school today, I want to cry! the years have flown by and it seems like yesterday that she was a wee baby and in my arm instead of moaning at me that her fave shirt isn't ironed.
NSD today except for DD bus fare to secondary school.
I'm going to get the babies down for a nap in a while and finish painting my boys bedroom.
hope everyone has a good day.

Yes, you polish up that halo, Kimmie-May! You are, as far as I know, still of this mortal coil and not expected to be perpetually perfect at all times. I am sure your children have heard worse and if not, will when they go to school. They will get over it. They will have to learn at some point that even Wondermama has an end to her tether.

dd9... is this a typo or is there another one you did not tell us about? :)

Excellent teeth news. :D (see what I did there> toothy emoticon)
Moments like that make the day before and days like it worth it all, because you are once again assured you are doing a good job with your children. That many mouths with such a glowing report means an excellent mommy job!!!! :j:T:j:T:j:T

p.s. I was also wondering where DD9 came from? ;)
