;70782824]Had plenty of interest just lots of timewasters...
Timewasters aren't interested in the car, solely in wasting time.
As said, if you're not getting serious buyers, something's putting them off. In this case, for me, it's the price vs. outstanding MOT, and the unknown quantity that is the automatic A class.0 -
Perhaps you need to add 'Bargin' and 'Nuttin wrong with it' lol seen a few like that on Gumtree!0
-
Is there a reason why you're not MOT'ing it first? If it's good nick it might only cost you £40 and then it'll be a lot more desirable.0

Getting it MOT this weekend. Reason I didnt was because I'd rather have sold it for cheaper than take it for mot.
Been working weekends recently so havent had much spare time.0 -
UPDATE: I've seen it all now. In the end got the car MOTed on Saturday. Late saturday evening I re-advertised.
Lo and behold. 9am Sunday I get a text from original timewaster "Sorry my gran got rushed into hospital. I'll be over at 11am with the cash. OK?"
So basically looks like he decided against buying with just 2 months MOT, didnt have the manners to tell me this and now thinks I'm going to sell it to him for the same price.
But glad to say someone else came to see car yesterday am and its now sold.
I didnt even reply to timewaster. To be honest, I was hoping he'd show up so I could tell him to f off.0 -

Of course, it is just possible that his gran actually got rushed into hospital...0 -
Glad you sold it.
Moral is if you think its a good car and will 'fly through the next MoT' then get it MoT'd yourself if you want to sell it; don't rely on other people believing you.0 -

Glad you got it sold now and for a price both parties a re pleased with.
Probably coincidence, but it does seem the longer MOT certificate is the deal breaker sometimes.
As for text emails and canvassers? I don't respond to any of them, the interested people will make the call .0 -

Yes right. But during the last two weeks hes not had 5 secs to reply to a text or call me?
And what a stroke of luck for him, the very moment he gets 5 seconds to himself after spending 24 hours a day at his grans bedside, the car he so desperately wants has been readvertised with a new MOT. What a bargain!
Yeh right.
BTW - I did call him on his work number too (remember he gave me his business card). He was on another call apparently when I called. Must have just popped into the office on his way to the hospital after being in Tescos buying the poor old dear some grapes....0 -

Lesson learned. I just hoped to sell it a bit cheaper with the mot it had. Didnt want the hassle of taking it for mot.0
