  • I am eating from the freezer tonight. That is good on paper but a bit annoying as I would rather have chips from the chip shop.
I don't have very nice things in Verbatim.
Only oven chips, pies, waffles, sausages, bread, steak, frozen curry and spagBol, peas, beans, prawns and chicken nuggets, ice cream and Yorkshire puddings. I think that's it. Cooking lunch for next 2 days too.
It's a speedy time of year and next month not looking too positive.

Spent £3 at lunch and £1.50 on milk

But the flat needs a bit of money quite soon. No plans for weekend which is good.

Wow PSL your freezer is a feast !

I take a salad everyday to work for lunch, there are no shops nearby . Everyone laughs because I have the same thing, but my salads have all sorts thrown in . I also have loads of fruit.

I have salad too everyday, no shops near my little village school. It's usually salad leaves, cucumber, peppers, red onion, feta cheese and dressing. I mix it up in the winter and take home made soup or leftovers to warm up in the microwave.

    Rock n roll!

Same here. Usually salad plus something for protein in summer and soup in winter.
I have a garden and use leaves from there plus some herbs. I have rocket in heaps as it's all self sown from last year and lovely peppery nastusium leaves in pots right now. Lambs lettuce and wild garlic earlier in the year. And the supermarket pot of basil next to my sink keeps on giving as does the parsley one I planted out. However I must be the only person in the world who can't get mint to thrive!
Have you got a garden or at least window sills for window boxes or pots PSL?
Sounds like you just need some veg then for quite a few meals.

I kill every pot of herbs....however, I currently have a basil and parsley that have lasted for months! They were from Sainsburys...whats your trick to keep them alive?!

    Luck!
But the basil pot instructions said to only water once it's very dry and started to shrivel. And I plant the parsley outside at the first sign of greenfly.

Don't throw food away! That'd be awful. Think how to use it up and don't buy stuff again if it's not something you'd relish. It would be a total waste of money to buy food and just throw it.

  • I once throw loads of food out just so I could clean out my freezer and start again and it’s in just as much of a mess right now, jam packed and I don’t really like freezing food and eating it, but not very MSE to bin it! Try have a boring few weeks of eating out the cupboards, I plan to do it too xx
