  • Great news about the loan!! :T:T:T I think it would be a good thing for you to keep the loan amount as your own personal spending to do with as you please! But...when it's gone, its gone...this way you should (hopefully) only ever see the debt going down and have your own money to spend and not feel guilty about doing so xx
    Starting debt £18,675.63
    Current debt: £5,000 (16/05/18)
  • Thank you lovely ladies.
I think I am going to follow in the footsteps of Goingtodit and stage my own intervention on myself.
Got too much debt, doing silly spending and not going down quick enough.

I'm going to pay off the loan and the overdraft and when this is done start a new diary of credit card debt only.

    Good Thingd
    1. All debt ex overdraft at 0%
    2. 1 credit card with Dad
    3. Loan to be paid off very soon and payments reduced
    4. Socialising reduced
    5. Drinking a Lot less
    6. Spending quality sober time with friends rather than being drunk
    7. Safe journeys home (not drunk)
    8. Better diet (ignore weight gain)
    9. Almost emptied freezer
    10. Flat is far from perfect but livable
    11. Time to studying and consequently exam pass
    12. Reduced spending on beauty products
    13. A budget
    14. More time for reading and films
    15. A plan for the debt
    16. Payments are up to date and no missed payments.
    17. Good credit score and availability of credit (for now)
    18. Well fed and never hungry

Have got to sort this out before it wrecks my life.
So letting all the payments go out of the account and concentrating on the overdraft. And declining most social invites for the moment.
2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
Overdraft And 1 credit card paid off.

You sound determined PSL. I hope you succeed and will be cheering you on. Lots of positive things. Get that overdraft and credit cards cleared then things will look so much brighter.
