Hi all. I can't believe we're at the bottom of the first page, already! Haven't had a chance to post all week, had early starts every day, and because OH has so much stuff on the computer it takes ages to boot up so I don't even try to switch on before I go out in the morning :mad:

Anyway today is Saturday, the sun is shining, the postman got me up nice and early :rolleyes: with a parcel, as did the cat, demanding breakfast, so here I am. I'm having a major stress today, I am singing in a concert tonight, just eight of us, unaccompanied and I'm supposed to learn the words by heart. Well I can't. Just can't. I'm too old, brain has completely given up and although I woke up humming the darn tunes, I still can't remember the words. Oh dear. Oh well. I'll be the one with the red face then.

So it's rehearsals and panic all day today then and then the concert tonight. Wish me luck. I really need it.

So not much OSing going on, I have the usual pile of washing, ironing, cleaning etc staring at me and my tomatoes need picking and cooking so I may get round to that at least this morning.

OH has gone on his stag do - carting and then maybe out for a drink after. I on the other hand had my hen night last week and am looking forward to a day of peace. I am having a massage and my hair done. No other plans for the weekend accept for some housework and some ironing.

bit grey and chilly here in Essex this morning am up early for a weekend as we had a box of wine delivered so should have a good evening:beer:
we are off to the Essex Country show at Barleylands today but have got my fingers crossed that they wont notice when i ask for 2 adults and 3 kids as kids are only up to age 12:mad: i thought adults were 16 and over anyhoo DD1 & DS will become twins of 12 and DD2 is ok as she is 11 dont really like fibbing but think it is a bit of a cheek saying aduls are 12 and over

Kyle my 3 had slapped cheek and we had never heard of it before and my mum went to my aunts in Somerset and her daughters kids had it as well how does it travel or spread

tru its good to be a good friend but it doesn't sound as though your friends are being quite as good friends to you IYSWIM. Mr Tru has the right idea.

I need to go into town this morning as I have forgotten to buy aprons for DD for Food Technology (whatever happended to good old Home Ec?) and Art and Design. Need to take a library book back too so I may pick up another couple while I'm there.

Think I would quite like a job in the HR department of our local M&S. DS and I have phoned on four different days and there hasn't been anyone there! Wonder what they are actually being paid for. He is apparently going to be phoned back either today or Monday - going by past experience, I won't hold my breath. He just wants to get this work experience placement sorted as its beginning to stress him. I don't like to see him like this.

Anyway, I've lost 3 1/2 lbs this week. Would have been more if I had been a little bit naughty towards the end of the week. It's a start but I know I can do better so I won't be naughty at all in the coming week. Will try and up the exercise too.

Going 10pin bowling later.... should burn a few calories extra, and the hubby is on duty from 9am Sunday until 9am Monday.... so i will no doubt be rattling on here quite a bit (you have been warned )

I hope everyone up and about in the early hours gets to catch up with some shut eye later....

Feel abit more refreshed today. Went and visited a friend last night whilst OH played 9 holes and we gossiped and put the world to right:D Her DD and my DD are best friends and get on very well. I have asked her if she would allow her DD to come away with us for 3 weeks next Xmas. Its more so that DD has someone with her as she gets bored with OH & I. Fingers X'd for DD that she can come.

WM has been on and washing is on the line. Toilet has been scrubbed and DW needs emptying. Everywhere pretty much clean and tidy, so going to have a restful day today.

OH & DD have gone out on their bikes, so probably wont see them for another hour or so. Think I will call my sister and mum to see how they both are.

I was contacted yesterday and offered a job starting in January 2008. It would be approximately 25-30hrs per week from home. I explained that I wasnt well etc but they are sending further info to me and have asked me to think about it-they would be willing to supply any extra help I required including a PA. It really is a good opportunity for me so will need to think hard about it. It would also triple our income, so that is another factor to take into consideration, but I know money isnt everything.

Not sure what we are having for dinner later, so will see what the other two want.
