Tru I think that's a good idea about DH saying something. We had the same problem at one stage in our lives. We even use to get visits from friends banging on the door in the early hours. When opened, they'd say we saw the lights on and thought we'd come by. What light? the fridge light, they'd reply. Trust me, it got really NOT funny after a while. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Daily post at just after midnight??? What ever next!

Now that it's officially morning. I am well rested after a fabulous days' fishing. For me as the organiser I am just happy that it all went brilliantly. Lovely sunny day, no wind, plenty of fish, not out of pocket, everyone happy. I came 4th out of 14, so not too shabby. That was enough to get me in the team for the national event next year :D

Well got to finish off the last of the uniform stuff today, then off to work at 1300. The OH is going to a wedding that she does not wish to go to. Lots of family issues there. I am glad to be working.

Looks to be a nice day. Have a a good one y'all

    Morning All,

Hope all you late-or-is-it-early birds managed to get some refreshing rest! Can't believe there were so many of you around in the early hours!

Well I was hoping to lie-in but PsychoKitty wanted to try suckling my neck and fingers. It's rather irritating when you are trying to sleep! He's got a way of sneaking under my armpit to try get to my neck and it does look cute, but he's soooo determined. Had to get up. Then found out it was 6:45 anyway so it wasn't too early really. He's disappeared now, so I think he's gone back up to bed with OH :)

Well did another 1.5 hr walk yesterday. Hope some muscles are firming up! Then just decluttered a bunch of mags and papers (reading them first) with PK in the garden so he could play supervised. Still more to declutter

Plans today - put furniture back in room with OH. Paint bits I should be able to reach better after that! Then maybe (only maybe) sand down woodwork. Also need to start tidy up process in the garden. Have loads of stuff (leaf cuttings etc) to take to the lottie but car is full of carboot stuff, so might have to start taking walks with backpack full of compost! Might smell a bit :)

Hope all with aches and pains find some relief. Loved the Caturday! Smoky I love the little pics you put in!

Back to say I've just read redruby's horrible hospital experience yesterday! That's shocking treatment and I'm so glad you've complained. You deserve more respect than that. And what is it with Dr's that don't keep you informed. You'd have thought that they'd know not-knowing is worse than knowing. I hope the doctor gets firmly rapped on the knuckles.

  • Just as an aside, there's a thread on the Greenfingered board about men's urine being good for plants, so I lightheartedly suggested (separately) to Mr Pink and eldest Master Pink that they could 'donate' their waste for the garden....both of them first looked at me as though I was bonkers, then thought about it for a while and replied, "how much will you pay me?" I think they must have been reading this website :D

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Way to go, Pink :T Think I'll try that one. ;) Isn't ladies' urine as good

Off shopping with DD today, and to visit an exhibition about 20th century fashion. Meeting up with a fellow Old Styler, which I'm really looking forward to.

Following all the talk on the daily I had a real urge to bake yesterday, so if you're of a nervous dieting disposition, please look away now. This was what I made:

Have a piece of any that you fancy to go with Tru's coffee!

That'll last us the week. I'm making courgette and gorgonzola soup tomorrow, and gammon quice and fresh veg from the garden for tea. For me, prparing home cooked food for my family is the essence of Old Style.

Have a great day, Penny. x
