Wow. That's an astonishing post by blutto. I'm wondering how many forum rules it has breached.
Not all leave camp are racists - far from it.

On the other hand, it seems unlikely that a racist would vote to remain - and both blutto's and Dird's posts seem racist to me.

    Agreed.

Shame when people are trying to have a rational economic debate here.

I think that those sort of posts sum up the way a section of voters thought. I'm in no way saying that the majority think along those lines but a significant number did. They've voted on one aspect alone instead of considering the whole.

I can appreciate a leaver who has thought about everything involved and come to a considered conclusion. There's a lot that's wrong with the EU. Simply reading the daily mail scare stories and listening to Farage isn't the way that I went about deciding though.

I am not a Tory but Theresa May IS my MP.

In my experience she does what she says she will. The latest example was on 25 June when, despite all the turmoil (and her husband being unwell), she not only attended an event she said she would but stayed for the full time promised.

Whilst I may not always agree with her politics, she does have a safe pair of hands.

So I think she should be given David Cameron's job.

Like you I don't always share her politics, but your story does shed a positive light on her.

The job description must require someone who is both capable and experienced.Having held one of the top three offices of state for 6 years, she appears the best qualified and is certain to have the backing of a large majority of Conservative MPs

How she voted on 23rd June has no more relevance than her gender or skin colour.I do however think it will be a positive in her dealings in Europe that she has not been associated with the worst excesses of the leave campaign

Blutto and Dird - how the leave campaign won the day.

    Reminds me of Cindi Lauper.

Surely that's against MSE rules MSE?

Right to your point AGAIN! Why do people keep on banging about the 'big red bus lie' ? Why are people so thick just to realize no,we are going to be out ,forget net back ,we just do not send that amount to the EU ever again once out! Hence that amount can be spent on what ever the government of the day wishes too! It will be divided up to different issues but a large part can go to the NHS! :j
Come off it. The remain campaign's people are not "so thick" that they don't understand it. It is you who doesn't understand it.

We send less than 350 because of a massive agreed rebate rate.

And then of the amount we give them, we get some part of it spent on us in European project spend, and then leave some for the other parts of Europe.

Just like when I pay my taxes I get some part spent on stuff I use and some part spent on other people, and in return I get access to UK infrastructure and businesses which helps me earn my money in the first place.

If we don't participate in the single market infrastructure then we will not have generated as much money in the first place and we will not have the [350 less big rebate] to send anywhere -we will simply have lower income.

So, yay, I can spend my money on what I want, but I have a smaller income so am worse off. I can no longer afford to write the cheque for [350m less massive rebate], and therefore can't give the money to the parts of the UK which are currently receiving funding from Europe, let alone give it to the NHS.
About countries look do you really want the drabs of Albania,Serbia,Bulgaria ,Romania and already some EE countries in the EU that are thanks to the delightful !!!!! Gehaard Schroder!
It's not just thanks to him, it's thanks to our elected officials, because we have a veto which we could have used if we didn't want, e.g. Romania in the EU.

There are lot of poor parts of the UK. We don't float them of to sea just because we think we are too good for them.

Turkey has millions of young men unemployed...
OK. Turkey isn't part of the EU so we don't need you to rant about them thanks

...and from what I have seen on TV all these so called asylum seekers are young men who flee countries they cannot be bothered to build up just want it now from someone else,ie another country like the Uk as nice benefits system!
If your problem is with "asylum seekers" then leaving the EU doesn't solve your problem, because you have said they are coming over to the UK as "so called asylum seekers" and not as EU migrants with the EU freedom of movement passport.
Just look at that Albanian Monbster finally being kicked out thank to the IDiOTiC EU Human Rights clause he has used tomtry and stay! We now can ignore that establishment and their crazy ways.
I thought you were going to say that we no longer have control over our laws and courts and give an example of where we were forced to follow some idiotic law made by the EU.

But your example is of someone who we wanted to kick out and are doing so? I don't know the facts of the case at all, but it seems your example proves that either the UK authorities *didn't* have to be subservient to EU law, or they did but EU law gave the right result (i.e. kicking out).
There's so much I could go on about EE mobsters on here sending money back to these EEuropean shitholes that they cannot be bothered to build up ,they just sponge as that's what they are best at! Look at that guy on CH4 ,built a house in Eomania thanks to EU law giving him rights to the Uk benefits system, never done a days work in his life and just went to the cash machine everyday and thanks to the EU.
I'm glad you don't pad your posts even further with more stories of EU mobsters. But if you recall, one off the things the EU offered if we stayed in was a system where we don't have to pay any benefits to EU citizens who haven't paid into our system first. So those who had "never done a days work in his life" would not get paid out. But you voted to reject that deal and leave the EU.

This EU person you've seen on telly or in the newspaper is the exception rather than the rule. He was newsworthy because it is shocking, and it is shocking because it's abnormal. As such it costs a very small amount of our GDP Just like the UK citizen with ten kids in a council house permanently on benefits which you hear about on the same TV shows and tabloids.
Most important with migration is something some of you should really think about! Did you know last year that in the Uk and Belgium last I checked that the MOST popular name given to baby boys was Mohammed!
Really? That's the *most important* thing with migration?

That Muslims have unoriginal first names while atheists have original ones like you see in all the celeb gossip mags. Wow. If that's the most important thing with migration... then let's just say migration suddenly doesn't seem important.

In other news from a few decades ago, chicken tikka masala is the nation's favourite dish. Is that the 'fault' of the Pakistani who claimed to invent it in Glasgow, or the Indian who claims it evolved in the Punjab and Uttar Pradesh over the latter half of the twentieth century? Or the fault of the 90% of the British population who, unlike you, are able to embrace cultural change?
it the case that there is so many Muslims from many different countries and backgrounds now in the Uk that soon they will BREED us out as that is their MASTER plan? One thing they are good at is knocking them out! They breed like rabbits and we are allowing the change of population dynamics. Basically the whole of the EU is becoming islamified. I don' t mind Muslims here but it seems we are getting the whole Muslim world coming here now. The EU and ( this is suppose to be a Cristian area of nation states) and feel soon this is going to be a ticking time bomb as people in all these countries do not like it.I am not religious but I do see quite visually the changing face of the UK and the Europe as indigenous people's being replaced by other races that are not indigenous to these nations. It's many, too much and why don't they want to build up their own countries they are from? Believe me the population is getting to high and a lot of migrants Who come here use the asylum !!!!!!!! just to get out of ****holes in Africa for example! Another contientent blighted by Religious control may I add thanks to the Catholic Church saying condoms/ contraception is not allowed,no wonder they knock out so many to be born into a life of !!!!! unless related to country leaders etc.
The lighthearted /amusing part of your racist bigoted expletive-laden rant was where you said, "I don't mind Muslims here but...".

This has to be a wind up. I contend that you are a troll supporting the Remain campaign, trying to turn everyone away from the genuine non-racist Leave sympathisers by putting up the worst example of an ill-educated bigot with terrible spelling and manners.

If you trace your roots back, were you an Anglo Saxon who came over from Saxony or were you one of the conquering Normans who came over from Normandy? Certainly your attention to spelling and grammar appears a bit medieval.

Or were you one of the original amphibians who came up out of the sea, evolving your own way of breathing outside water, and started breeding on land?

*our land. Get back in the sea.
Those hoards coming across the Med its purely to get here and get benefits and live under a bypass is better than living where they are from! So so much could go on about
but please don't for the sake of our sanity
but I would rather scrap the International Aid budget as it does not get to people in these countries but aid leaders who, look out for NO.1. Just last week read SouthAfrican President buys a New Boeing747 Presidental plane but has millions living like garbage! Unreal!
As the country has a high crime rate and you think the whole continent is dodgy as hell, it's probably better for the safety of the president that he uses his own transport rather than squeezing into the back of a dilapidated budget public airline flight where a fellow passenger might murder him for his in-flight meal.

Stop giving them cash or give it direct to the people not through their regimes as it gets wasted on themselves! No,wonder so many try their luck to get here, only about 9 countries in Africa have anything going for it ,the rest is a dirt bowl with no mineral or gas deposits to seek to the world and Nigeria what an example of the corrupt.
Again, quite a rant, but doesn't have much to do with whether it's better for us to have political union with an entirely different continent to the one you're getting knickers in a twist about.
The message is the Uk cannot have the whole world living here and it's just a one way flow it seems to me!
The price of success. And from a "where shall i relocate internationally" point of view, it is boosted by having most of our indigenous population speaking the world's "second language" that people from many other countries learn (either at school, or voluntarily for business or to enjoy big-budget Hollywood movies).

London and the surrounding commuter belt also has a similar "one way flow" looking at historic population growth, but would perhaps be economically and culturally worse off if it built a wall and said you couldn't come here without a house and job, and that its people were not going to contribute any taxes if there was a chance the tax would be spent on poorer non-London regions rather than directly on themselves.

Well said, bowlhead. I have to admit that I didn't get down to the bottom of their post (and still haven't) and didn't bother responding to it because I doubt that it'll remain on the site for too long.

I don't tar all leavers with the same brush but I think that there were quite a few leavers of this opinion. Certainly enough to make the difference.
