The comments on here all sound so familiar.
I switched from EE to Avro after they hiked the monthly fee.
I expected contact from EE and a final bill after switching on October 13. At the start of November nothing so I rang Customer Services who then issued final bills showing me £141.80 in credit I was told this would be refunded within 10 days on November 7th - I'm still waiting.
I have made a complaint but they shut it down as it had been passed to accounts for payment.
I have used Resolver and Trustpilot to try and get a solution but the money is still outstanding.
After seeing the comments on here I have now submitted a claim to the Small Claims Court and the must respond by 7th January 2019.

I was going to start a small claims court against them on Tuesday as i gave them 10 working days to respond to a LBA email but i never heard from them apart from an email to say they had got my complaint and they will be in touch.
The news broke about them getting audit advice so i thought if i start a SCC and they go belly up i would of lost the court fee and maybe what i am owed.
Last night i called my HSBC bank and asked about Direct Debit refund and after spending nearly an hour from 1 rep to another i was told that i can not use that to get my money back. I never mentioned i have a credit just that EE took 3 months on DD's before i left when EE said they would cancel the DD in June and my lasy DD to them was May's. I called EE but the just said nobody canceled the DD.

Went to my branch today an explained all and after 3/4 mins of question's i was given my 3 months of DD's back and it was in my bank within the hour.

I now owe EE less than £10 which is better than them owing me.

I will now see how quicl the contact me to demand payment.

After getting my money back through Ombudsman now I have received email from EE that I owe them over £400 apparently! I expect this thieving idiots will send debt recovery company to my door now as they did with many innocent people according to Trustpilot reviews. In case they do what should I do. I am so angry and stressed because of that!
