You might want to consider checking a credit report to identify why your being rejected (If your rejected) or you will prob face more rejections in the future short term or long term depending on what's on your credit report.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. I do have access to my credit file and I do have one default from 3 years ago, i have since cleared the debt with the gas company. Apart from that I have always paid my bills every month and have never had any other credit apart from one catalogue company which is paid in full each month never missed a payment. So I'm actually looking for a credit card to build my credit file so I can apply for a mortgage in a few years time.0

Received my email from Barclays card today saying I was successful
I also applied with vanquis as I really thought I would have been unsuccessful with Barclays, and vanquis phoned today about my application with them which went great as i was also accepted by them.

What credit limit did you get? I have an vanquis card as well :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Thank you
I got £250 limit with both :j Not a great amount but it's a good start to building my credit file, the downside is the interest rates:( If I pay my balance off in full each month do I avoid paying interest?

Barclaycard doubled my limit after only 5m so it will go up, as long as you pay on time all the time they will reduce the rate.
As long as you pay in full every month no interest at all. Make sure you wait for your statement and then pay.0 -
That's great I hope i get my limit doubled at least by the end of the year:) My plan is to pay both off in full every month so I can avoid the interest. Will it be the balance due I will have to clear or will it be where it states total balance?0

It will be the statement balance. The statement will say how much to pay and by when0
