Not sure if accepted or not

Thank you. That just about sums it up. Don't think I've been accepted. This is my first time applying for a credit card. If I've been unsuccessful should I try with a different card supplier or should I leave it 6 months before applying for any credit card.?

You could always try Capital One, Vanquis or Marbles.

Cap One and Marbles have an eligibility checker to see how likely you are to be accepted, without the need for a hard search.

Ok so update on application I received a letter today saying we are pleased to be able to tell you that your application has been provisionally approved. It then asks me to send a bank statement or utility bill and a photo copy of my drivers license. Does this mean I have been accepted but just need to confirm identity or could they still reject me?

Great, I will be keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well once I get my documents posted today. I usually put my letters through the shredder once I receive them I don't usually need to keep them for anything so I don't have a normal bank statement but I have a recent savings account statement from the bank could I use this?

Yes a savings account statement should be fine. They will write back if they need anything further. You could send a recent payslip if that has your address on it.

Oh yeah I never thought of that, well I posted a photo copy of my driver license photo card and counterpart and the original copy of my bank statement. So fingers crossed that's enough.

Has anyone ever been provisionally approved by Barclays and then been declined once you have sent the documents.?
