Not sure if accepted or not

Hi can anyone help me please, I applied for a Barclays initial credit card last Friday and at the end of the application it's says your application is processing but then asked me to create a passcode and memorable information, does this mean I've been accepted?? I have heard nothing else since from Barclays. I tried to go onto my Barclays and login but it's asking for username/ID number which I don't have yet. I only have the passcode and memorable which I created. Has anyone else had this then received an email or letter being declined? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like it wasnt an instant approval but a human will check it up.
in the past had the same message and then got an email next day saying it has been approved, the credit limit and the username to acess online. The card took another 3/4 days as usual.

Thank you, I'm hoping I get the same result as you did. I guess I will just have to wait for an email stating wether I was approved or not. I just don't understand why they would ask me to set up passcode and memo word then refuse me. Does this happen quite a lot this is the first time I've ever applied for a credit card so it's all new to me.

Just keep checking your email, I applied for the barclaycards 25/25 on monday and i have same message as yours and the same process, i created passcode and stuffs.

I just got an email today that I am sucessful with a limit of £3800. they gave me login id which i used to login with my passcode. so good news is on your way too.

Here's hoping I have been approved. I do think I have probably been declined because how long it's taking. I applied last Friday the same as my mother and she's already received her pin and I haven't even received an approval yet.

I had the same message. I called them to chase it up after a week. They wanted me to answer a few questions regarding my credit file. I had an email a few hours later saying application approved.

Oh really I might give them a call tommorow then and chase it up. Hopefully I will wake up to an email with an approval. Did you also have to create a passcode and memorable word before being approved?

I would give them a call it was all sorted out very quickly once I'd called. I did create a password and memorable word before being approved.

Ok thank you. I will give them a call tommorow. If you don't mind me asking can you tell me what kind of information they wanted to know before they approved you. I have an ok credit score, clean account although I do have one default from 3 years ago. Sorry if I sound rude asking you this question

It was just a few questions to confirm identity. They asked a few questions about the accounts on my credit file they account was approved a few hours later. I had very bad credit when I applied. All defaults have gone now and my score has improved hugely. Barclaycard is constantly offering deals on balance transfers and money transfers.

When I applied for Barclaycard Initial

say for example i applied on a Monday got email that gave me my passcode/pin (For online banking)

Also email that they will get back to me..

3-4 days later got email to say welcome pack/pin & card in the post.

Any longer than that u need to ring them or not been accepted etc
