So last few days have been manic finally got major framework questionnaire of my desk, have another one still to do but hopefully can finish that one this afternoon!
Few pennies have landed, £10 odd from rewards account cashback and £24 from refund of cancelled life insurance policy with ex, all sent to ISA, now at £2558, slowly building up.
For now am sending all "extras" to ISA for emergency fund, all others should come up to target nicely with Standing orders and although this has Standing order too is nice to top up. Will make sure all accounts are at target and then can use the extras for the mortgage, so nice to see savings and interest being earnedDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning world, wet monday morning, bah, least its not too bad being at work when it rains!
Weekend was good, sorted out my fencing at the yard, spent some time with the hoss. Ex and his wife came round on saturday afternoon to start sorting his bits in the loft, nothing removed yet but 3/4 of the stuff sorted, hopefully back in a few weeks to sort rest. At least there is an end in sight to a clear loft
Sunday took advantage of a sunny morning and dried the washing on the line and cut the grass, growing exceeding well due to this warm and wet weather, down the yard its growing too, few of the owners ponies are at risk of laminitis so they are on starvation diets, doesnt look long but amazing just how green the short grass is. Sunday afternoon went to sisters to see dad for fathers day, had lovely lunch and then went to her friends to help dismantle and move a climbing frame they are kindly gifting sister. NSD on sunday, havent been great at those recently, although I do "have" the money if I need it, be DFW days are still very clear and am not spending unnecessarily. Payday should be friday and still have £118 in the bank account, only probably need to buy a few boxes of tissues as well stocked up on everything else, so will be able to send some extras over to savingsDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning
So good weekend again, saturday had party for nephew lots of small children but on the whole everyone behaved and had a good timeSpent £6 on bread, chocolate and steak
Sunday didnt spend a penny, tidied house, cut grass and generally lazed around, lovely!
At the yard one of the owners has gone away for a week so am helping the other one turn out and put away a couple of horses to bed each day, am probably going away to see a friend this weekend so we are calling it quits for money owed, is good for me as no real hassle doing 2 extra in the morning and evening and saves me £15 over the weekend
Sister has now stopped dad's memory pills completely, his issues with his gut are nearly all fixed, still not eating 100% but not too bad but his mood has definitely improved which is great, so we have made the right decision. The pills were never designed for a cure for Alzheimers but just to slow the progress down, so in that respect not great that he is off them but from an everyday dealing with life perspective at the moment its better that he isnt taking them, swings and roundabouts, keep monitoring as we do but for now at least a small up turnDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good afternoon, its friday
So this week has been ok, spendy in the case I have put £150 on my Sains CC, but this was taking advantage of the BHS closing down sale, lots of beach towels cheap including a few gifted to sister and some clothes, all at great prices. If I continue budgetting carefully this month will have enough to pay this off without dipping into any savings
Standing orders to savings accounts gone today so they are all looking healthy, have about £4.5k over the accounts so extremely pleased. Have £600 set up each month to go to various accounts.
Off this weekend to see a friend, go out for the day tomorrow but use NH or EH membership, NH is via bank and EH friend pays for joint so free either wayDont need to pay YO as did their hosses last week.
Have worked the hoss twice this week, just long reining in the school and both times she has been very well behaved, last night finished of with a 20 min walk around the roads, just me and her long reined and she was great, such a difference between just before hols, I really did need that breakDefinitely onwards and upwards there!

All looking good BB
Well done with the long reining too, I've been thinking I need to do some with one of the ponies soon. Hope I don't get too tangled up!0 -
Good news that horsey is working better.
You are very cool letting ex bring his Missus round.0 -

Morning, my reins get tangled too, luckily hoss is quite forgiving and stands there rolling her eyes at me while I sort myself out :rotfl:smallholdingsister wrote: »Good news that horsey is working better.

Thanks for dropping by, am pleased hoss is better too, finally some progressEx's missus is nice, met her before they got together so all ok. So funny hearing them argue about things that I used to argue with ex about, mainly buying stuff, so his spending ways are still there, definitely a lucky escape!
So weekend was good, saturday went out to Bodiam Castle, free entry with NT vouchers from bank account, I spent £7 in coffee shop on cake and drinks, then went to Bayham Abbey, free with EH membership friend pays for. Friend provided lunch and dinner. Sunday spent £30 in Sainsburys on top up shop, few fresh bits and loo roll.
Savings accounts checked this morning, 90p interest earned over last month, not that great but still nice to have a few pennies, will only get better as more money saved each month.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Hi! Hope you don't mind me crashing in on your thread, but I noticed you talking about your Dad with Alzheimer's and I wondered if you had found your way to the Alzheimer's Society forum - my MIL has Alzheimer's and I've found it really helpful to read about other people's experience of the type of problems and patterns of behaviour. It's also helpful if you need to find your way through issues around powers of attorney, money, care homes. Good luck for all your family, and for you and your horse!0

I love Bodiam, it's gorgeous! I so hear you about the eye-rolling when long-reining - Merlin does exactly the same thing, though with him it's usually a precursor to deciding he'd better take charge and stomping off to graze, leaving me waterskiing in his wake!!0
