Glad new job going wellMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Morning, hossie is good thanks, have to admit have done nothing with her these last few weeks, what with worrying about dad, work, etc. Its no excuse and need to get started again. Day to day things will now settle into a routine, work life etc so can then concentrate on going forward with the hoss. I want to get to the stage where I can just jump on and go wherever and feel confident in her. I will achieve this somehowDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning
So weekend has appeared, been good to have a rest from work, first week always tough but think going forward it will be ok.
Moneywise bought some cookies on friday, did small top up shop and filled car with fuel yesterday, all budgeted spends (bar cookies!).
So today not a penny spent, hoping to list some bits on ebay later, off to make some cakes to take to work as run out of sweet things in cupboard but plenty ingredients to make cakes.
Min payment for virgin out and a small payment to Bcard from spare in bills account

Good morning
So a small survey payment and then the rest from the bills account as no water bill this month brings the Barclaycard down a wee bit more.
Spendy day today as car in for MOT and service, have relevant savings to cover this and plans in place to be ready for next year too

I'm sure hoss has enjoyed the winter holiday, it has been horrible weather for riding in anyway. But they are there for fun, you'll probably enjoy it when you get back to it.

Good morning
Friday is here and end of 2nd week in job, feel like I know what I am doing now, always look forward to the weekend tho!
So on Wednesday had a day off and went to doctors and got a do not resuscitate form for dad, only for major things but all agreed best way forward due to his health issues. Not something ever thought about thinking about! Then we went to the care home dad will go to for respite when we are away in April. It will be ok for a week, but definitely dad doesn't need it full time. He does need the day centres he goes too, loves the social aspect so we will continue with this and just keep seeing what happens everyday.
So this weekend nothing planned, going to try and spend some time with the hossie and do something pro-active there.
Money wise £389 on the car on Wednesday but that was saved previously. And nothing else spent this weekStill plenty of food in freezer, if I bake some more cakes will save me buying some yoghurts for work as that's the only item required.

Good morning
So good weekend, saturday gave hossie a good groom, trim and generally looking smarter. Came home and gave house a bit of a wee spring clean, just a few areas definitely looking smarter and again similar to garden, few weeds taken out and moss from the roof swept up.
Sunday took advantage of the nice weather and long reined the hoss, going back to scratch to get her used to what she needs to do. Just 10 minutes in the school and 20 minutes walk round the roads. Very good and super pleased. Had a lazy afternoon and had a nap :rotfl: Both days were NSD.
Made some brownies over the weekend and finished them off yesterday. Made some flapjacks last night so enough for a few days. Need to get some bananas today but rest of lunch bought in

Good morning,
Another fun filled day at work, yawn! Its nearly halfway through the week. Late night last night due to babysitting for nephew then came home and stupidly played on phone. Feeling it today. Usually more disciplined so need to stick to that.
£4 odd spent yesterday, bananas, emergency choc for work, bread and butter. Had loose change so no extras from bank.
Today hopefully counting as NSD.
Few pennies have arrived from rewards account so sent to Bcard, slowly slowly
Debt as of today:
Bcard - [STRIKE]£1071.39[/STRIKE] £906.84

Good morning
So weekend was good, went out for lunch on saturday with family, ok place but wont be going back, not worth the pennies, but still a nice time had. Sunday had that #smugfeeling when your field is completely clear of poo :rotfl: other hoss owners will know this feeling doesnt last long but is great when it doesThen went and did top up shop plus went and bought a few new clothes for work, so very spendy but worth it.
So current finances, need to write it down here to get straight:-
Savings
Rental e-saver - £350 - not to be toucher
StoBuy - £350 - add £50/month - for horse expenses
E-Saver iss 2 - £350 - add £50/month - for house expenses
ISA - £4730 - for emergency - not to be touched unless vital
E-Saver iss 1 - £861 - add £200/month - for future overpay mortgage or house extension
Ins NW - £100 - add £100/month - for car, insurance etc
S Bldr - £2345 - add £100/month - for fun and general expenses
Holiday - £67 - not currently saving - for hols
So overall savings plan are in place and looking well for the future, all budgeted spends insurance, horse etc are covered. Also good emergency fund in place.
Debt
Sains CC (weekend spends) £350.41
Bcard - £906.84
Virgin - £3650.77
So need to pay of Sains CC asap. Now bcard and virgin are on 0% and savings are better earning interest but they are annoying me and hate having debt held over me.
So taking into account the above am going to use my Sbldr fund to pay of the sains and bcard straight off and £1k of the virgin. Will leave me £87 in s/bldr and this continues to build back up. Will be £2650 still outstanding on virgin card. All extra monies to go to this.
Now I would do this today but slight !!!! up at work means salary isnt going in for a few days, so will need to wait till that arrives and then pay them then as have temporarily borrowed the savings for bills etc.
All the above is mainly due to the reason I want to pay this mortgage of by age 45 so need to get rid of the debt quickly. Dont have enough completely to clear it but not too bad.
Over the years have been up and down in debt but now I am back to working with a regular salary coming in and proper savings plans in place then can use all extras to clear debt and then throw at mortgage. Once get reasonable sum in overpay/house works fund then will stop paying into that and start putting that money at the mortgage. I will do this somehowDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!
