That is which they use such weasel words as the phrase "activated devices" rather than active users of Win10
The same as any other software company does...0 -

We will probably find that they are also including new computers not yet sold and OEM licences issued to system builders but not yet installed in the figures as well.
you must work in public service? it really doesn't matter"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
I'm a semi-retired chartered engineer.
I previously worked full time in the high value low volume bespoke capital goods sector for various large international type engineering companies.
I started computing using PDP 11's at University and at home using MS Dos and then Win3.1
Then ICL 1900 series mainframes writing and running number crunching engineering analysis batch jobs run overnight mostly (this was in Fortran)
Next Data General systems at work
A little bit of Solaris.
Then Win NT at work, while at home Win 95, 98, XP and now Win 7.
Never worked in IT specifically but done a lot of programming within engineering, mostly design and analysis programs for use in-company and a bit of robot assembly control type stuff.
As well as my engineering degree I also have a business degree.
I have never worked in the public sector and have no wish ever to do so.
Happy now?0
