Sounds like you are not yet a customer, check the national database to confirm. As per previous advice, direct messaging them on Twitter seems to be the best way to get a response - I've been making use of that facility today as it happens.Librarian_Lady said:I don't know if anyone on here will have advice, but I contacted Octopus in January to change to them (I'm on economy 7 and pre-pay metre as a renter). They said I just needed to reply with a 'Yes' to an email to change over, that was on Jan 25th... I've still not heard anything from them despite multiple emails to chase it up. Does this mean I'm not a customer of theirs as they didn't acknowledge it within 28 days (their small print terms) or within 14 days (the time they said I had if I changed my mind) ?

Using Twitter seems now to be the general recommendation based on Octopus' non-performance with emails. It would be interesting to know via Twitter their comments on the complete block on email communications.
I will have to join Twitter. Can you say how one communicates with Octopus via this channel? Tks.Telegraph Sam

bristolleedsfan posted a direct link to start a DM conversation with them a while back, but all you need to do is locate their profile and you'll be able to start messaging them. To be fair I have had a couple of email responses within 24 h last week when I contacted them, but there was a period where more than a week was going by. Twitter DM responses have been within minutes for me, so my go-to option if I want a quick response.Telegraph_Sam said:Using Twitter seems now to be the general recommendation based on Octopus' non-performance with emails. I will have to work out how to do what you recommend. I have sent over the past weeks a number of emails to them with no reply whatsoever, in complete contrast to the period before that.Telegraph Sam

I signed in and then used your direct link to send a PM to @octopus_energy. But the system refused to let me input any text in either of the boxes that seemed to be the ones to use. Can't say that Twitter is much of an improvement on emails!bristolleedsfan saidhttps://twitter.com/?lang=en-gb after signing up and logging in

I recently joined octopus.energy and my old TOU tariff with BG caused me a few problems with the switch.
But octopus.energy customer service has been brilliant.
 Would definitely recommend them.0
