Tks.  I can get very similar if not identical quotes (for the North East of course.. :) ) myself just by asking, and the system reverts by return email in a form (with a forecast) that even I can understand. The problem is that if one then consults their Tracker web pages - which quite creditably both give a historical price perspective, and most important their forecast for each fuel for the next 12 months - these seem to vary considerably day to day and don't bear any resemblance to the forecasts attached to the "quotes".. I could well switch on the basis of one but not on the basis of the other. All this accepting that quotes are quotes and forecasts are forecasts.   Have you sussed this out?

I took and am taking this approach  "People generally see tracker tariff rates that have been mentioned and think to themselves I will try that knowing can change tariff at any time or take rough with smooth"

That may well be my fall-back position also - except that come the time the fixed rate deals on offer could be less attractive than at present. But I would like to know what makes what they show on their web pages tick.

Needn't just be an app.  Any online link or web page that gives more of an insight into the data on the Tracker website and how to interpret it.

Following on from my previous post, I sent a strop-o-gram to them answer in 48 hours or I'll go elsewhere.  Got an answer today agreeing the switch.  As they answered my original email, I can't say if they saw the stroppy one.  But, as long as you get there in the end, the path isn't that important.

I would like to know if any of the forum readers actually uses the Tracker tariff and has experience of using the demo graphs and data.  I am coming to the conclusion, slowly, that helpful as these things try to be, you have to take some of the figures with caution. The kWh's they are based on seem to be purely invented which obviously leads to false results,  unless one takes them - I suppose as  intended - as just for demo purposes only. It's a bit smoke & mirrors..

Have Octopus given up answering emails?  I want to switch my gas to them, sent them an email a week ago to arrange it, but no response.  Same thing a couple of weeks ago when I emailed them and asked a tariff question.  Again, no answer had to call them in the end.  Took about 10 minutes for them to answer.

What's happened to their customer service?  When I switched my electric to them a couple of years ago, always answered emails within an hour or so and phone calls within 5 minutes,.  (As if I can't guess, loads of new customers and no additional customer service support)
Working OK for me, sorry to hear your probs.
