Would I ever have the occasion to use the nrgy (spelling???) website in addition to or as an alternative to Lipman?
And do they guesstimate what the missing data are if there is a hitch with downloading in the normal manner from the meter?Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -
For anyone thinking about Tracker or Agile, you might wish to think again. At 7pm tomorrow, the electricity spot price will be £2,132.20/MWh. If Agile wasn’t capped at 35p/kWh then the charge would be £4.70/kWh.1

Sam, we've gone through this before. You're overthinking it. As others have suggested, use the guy lipman website to give it access to your smart data (you just need the api which you get off your account section) it will then clearly tell you if there is missing data and for how many days it is missing. I would suggest this is the easiest way for you to check if you have missing readings, without you having to get too complicated over things.
The zero readings you are worrying about are from when you may be just using solar and not taking any electricity from the grid.0 -
I can most likely get the same from "Explore your Usage" - apps are a pain in my mobile. What is the website "nrgy" that I believe is similar to Lipman except that I have spelled it wrongly?Telegraph Sam

No it's not.
Nrgy will give you a file with your smart readings, much like the csv file you download from octopus.
Guy lipmans website will use the octopus api and analyse your smart meter data and tell you if there are any missing readings, in plain English. You really need to go and access the website and try it for yourself. We've been linking you to the website for months but you seem a bit scared to look at it!0 -
I regularly visit the website to check that the accounts correspond with the meter readings and "explore my energy use" data info. I don't know what extra the api offers - I haven't used it due to the limitations of my mobile. Are we saying that the 3 sources of data all provide the same info even if in different formats? Or are there occasions where one would be more useful than the others? [I would imagine that any missing readings would show up in the csv file] From visiting the nrgy .com website it is not immediately obvious just how this relates to my energy consumption.Telegraph Sam

To break it down:
1. Go here: https://octopus.energy/dashboard/developer/ - This is where your account number and API code is (copy and paste these)
2. Go here: https://energy.guylipman.com/sm/admin?source=octopus insert your API and account number here. You will then go into a page where you can do lots with your smart info. The first page will tell you whether your readings are complete or if there are any gaps.
If you want an explanation/breakdown of what the guy lipman website does look at this blog post: https://www.guylipman.com/octopus/smart_meter_viewer.html0 -
I know some people here (myself included) moved their gas to Zog. If Zog ceases to trade because of the current crisis, would a SoLR require both gas and electricity moving to them or would they only be allowed to take over gas? I wouldn't be happy if I had to move my electricity elsewhere as it's currently around half the cost of many tariffs out there.0
