Headphones stolen - there goes my faith in humanity

Options
Stayed in hotel last night. Had to put bags down inc headphones to open room door - must have dropped headphones. Not mega expensive but nice Bose ones (£100). Must have been 15 mins - checked outside - gone.

No-ones handed in at reception last night or this morning. Slight chance someone may have picked them up last night (it was 9pm) and drop them off when checking out later this am but its not looking good.

Thing is there are only about 4 rooms down this part of the hotel so its likely to be someone staying there whos seem them or a staff member.

Just can't believe that someone would do something like this if is has happened.:mad::mad:

Going to check the hotel later and considered ringing the police but I doubt they're going to round up the other people in the hotel. Not happy.

    You lost them.

Not the end of the world just annoying. Might not even bother with the police.

Not worth an insurance claim either.

    thanks for that! :D
  • It's less "stolen" and more "not returned". It's crap, but you left £100 headphones on the floor.

I've managed to leave my phone and camera in all sorts of places and had them returned every time, so i've got a healthy faith in peoples ability to return stuff.

Don't bother the police with it unless you're planning on claiming on insurance.

I believe that the Police may be quite busy and this will fall very low on the list of priorities to be honest with you. See if the hotel has cctv and then ask that they do a random search for you followed by a sharia law court for theft.

Yes been lucky in the past but not this time I dont think. I would have been hopeful - after all hotel corridor has a limited amount of people its not like leaving on a train. It was down one end of the hotel too with just 4/5 rooms there.

Nah agreed police would be pointless.
